This position provides leadership on the Recruitment philosophy, strategy, design, and overall operational accountability of the Talent Acquisition operation in North America. The role embed the employment brand and drives best-in-class operational processes that are simple to execute and scalable for sustainability. Strong collaboration with key stakeholders and business partners is essential.
The role will oversee, guide and coach the Talent Acquisition team to deliver the needs of all areas of the business while understanding big-picture business growth plans, growing the core of organizational capability, maintaining compliance and implementing tools for greater efficiency & effectiveness.
Your Day-to-Day Role
- Ensure the best recruiting experience in the industry by creating, organizing and implementing strategic as well as operational targets and support initiatives to build the overall talent acquisition process & quality of hiring
- Build and develop a growth-oriented, world class recruitment team that is the envy of the industry
- Build rigorous reporting capability & process to ensure we are resourced optimally and having the right impact
- Design and implement talent attraction marketing and proactive recruiting programs and processes that attract, select and retain a qualified, powerhouse workforce through cutting edge technology and effective use of all social networking tools, as well as traditional sourcing techniques
- Support the build of the Employer Brand to develop and implement recruiting media plans (traditional and social) to demonstrate OwnBackup as an employer of choice
- Build, deploy and support global standards and programs to assist executives and management to improve talent selection quality and to standardize talent acquisition process
- Ensure compliance with all local government laws [US & CAN] and regulations, including regular audits and updates
- Execute trainings for hiring managers on all aspects of interview and selection practices
- Ensure appropriate use of metrics to gauge recruiting status including cost per hire, hiring cycle time, quality of hire, turnover, competitive hiring measures, and new hire engagement measures
- Manage third party vendors and agencies; manage supplier relationships and ensure vendor performance metrics are appropriate and monitored globally
- Manage and maintain annual talent acquisition budget
- Ongoing assessment of talent acquisition practices for effectiveness and impact
Your Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Human Resources, Psychology or other applicable discipline
- Masters in HR a benefit
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a recruiter in a fast paced environment as well as 5 years experience leading a top notch dynamic Talent Acquisition team.
- Progressive solution oriented recruiting acumen with demonstrated understanding of applicable insight driving metrics
- Strong track record of people leadership of a large [7+] talent acquisition team
- Strong history in Employer Branding with social media, culture awards, marketing and messaging
- Supplier, vendor and external partner negotiation and management experience
- Demonstrated skill in exerting influence and building consensus at senior leadership levels to gain necessary commitment and support
- High level of emotional intelligence and ability to communicate with different personalities and experience levels
- Deep knowledge and understanding of local and federal regulations relative to hiring (including OFCCP and EEOC)
- Proven success in diversity outreach efforts
- Results driven and comprehensive approach to managing all Talent Acquisition processes autonomously from end to end; both administrative to highly strategic. Enjoys an often fast paced environment and is committed to working extensively when needed.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong and credible relationships with all levels of the business management on tactical and strategic issues is critical. Excellent capabilities for delivering coaching and guidance. Mature professional judgment which is both discrete and diplomatic, is vital.
- Superior understanding of Recruiting
- Extremely strong writing skills are required in a multitude of communication mediums. From email, to external branding to training content.
- Advanced proactive project management capabilities that drive for results from inception to execution. Substantive exposure and engagement with the planning, execution and management of complex projects and cycles critical to business success.
- Inherent self-sufficiency, flexibility and confidence with a preference for autonomy to take ownership and manage activities & processes.

This is a full time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our New Jersey office to maximize interaction with business.
