Joining Collibra's Global Payroll team:

Collibra is looking for a Global Payroll Manager to join our growing Accounting team in building a scalable, world-class Payroll function. You will support Collibra’s efforts in building out systems and processes for scale and have global ownership of the payroll function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-funded, high growth Belgian scale-up.

Global Payroll Managers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Own and manage the payroll process for North America and EMEA: Acting as the payroll SME, you'll manage the end-to-end payroll process, from setup of new states and countries to annual processing and filings, ensuring timely and accurate payouts for our employees. You will also be responsible for monitoring payroll deadlines, goals, processing times, and KPI's while leading a small payroll team.
  • Create new processes (and improve existing ones): Create and maintain payroll guidelines as we grow our company. You'll create additional structure and efficiencies in our processes in North America and EMEA.
  • Managing payroll systems and partnerships: You will be the main point-of-contact between Collibra and third-party payroll service providers, managing our payroll systems to ensure accuracy in reporting across Collibra entities.
  • Collaborate across the business: Work together with People team, Accounting and Finance to process employee changes, reconcile payroll and resolve issues to ensure compliance and accuracy related to employee benefits and taxation.
  • Compliance: Maintaining all employee payroll information, files, and records to support audit initiatives to maintain compliance with federal, state and local guidelines. Stay up-to-date with existing and new legislation to make recommendations that comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  • Assist with proper accounting for payroll expenses, and liabilities (including payroll tax liabilities)
  • Work with Equity & Tax teams to ensure tax calculations for equity-based compensation awards are prepared, reviewed, and timely submitted to payroll for processing

You Have:

  • 7+ Years of experience
  • Experience with major Payroll and ERP systems (ADP, Workday, Safeguard, Netsuite),must have deep knowledge and experience working with payroll vendors and platform technologies
  • Global experience across US, EMEA, Canada is strongly preferred
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Outstanding project management skills to establish and meet deadlines
  • Experience automating manual processes (integrations, reconciliations, etc)

  • Detail oriented, deadline driven and work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced global environment with a "roll-up the sleeves" approach in order to accomplish all variety of tasks
  • Team player, who can also work independently
  • Ability to comfortably interact with employees of all levels of experience and seniority, across the organization.

Reporting to Collibra's Vice President, Controller, Global Payroll Managers measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will understand current payroll processes, deadlines, and data dependencies.
  • Within your third month, you are able to identify process deficiencies and suggest improvements to mitigate risk.
  • Within your sixth month, you will have a full understanding of the end to end process for each entity, established cross functional partnerships and begun to implement required changes for the department (process, people, technology).
