nTopology is hiring for a Head of People. We are looking for a proactive, practical, empathetic, strategic People lead to join nTopology. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has a growth-oriented mindset and enjoys evolving people as much as improving processes. You are very confident in your problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and love putting them to use. You can navigate complex people situations and are rightly seen as an honest and trusted People partner for executives, as well as the entire company.


This role reports to the CEO and is based in NYC.


What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic but practical insights and support to the executive team
  • Be a reliable source of support, fairness, information, advice for all employees across the company
  • Manage the People Operations team (5 team members)
  • Model and be a champion of our values and culture - lead by example and further operationalize our core values
  • Continue developing and fine tuning the Global People Strategy, including talent acquisition, retention, employee management & development
  • Drive building internal systems and processes for an excellent candidate & employee experience, as well as continuous team development across the globe
  • Own reporting of key business metrics to the executive team and board of directors
  • Be responsible for compliant operations in all of our locations (18 states in the US + 5 countries globally)

Who You Are

  • You have served as a People lead at a fast-growing startup (under 150 employees)
  • You believe in “servant leadership”
  • You are a strong collaborator, a strategic thinker with a bias towards action, and a relationship builder
  • You are excited about building a product that is valuable to our customers with our talent being a key ingredient in what we deliver
  • You strive to find and solve root causes, rather than jump to conclusions
  • You have very high levels of EQ and communication skills with strong business instincts
  • You enjoy developing people and supporting them to be their best selves at work
  • You have experience rolling out programs across different geographies, functions and levels; and have experience scaling those programs in a high-growth environment
  • You have experience facilitating across a variety of stakeholders, functions and leaders
  • You have a continuous improvement mindset, shipping quickly, testing and iterating based on feedback and data
  • You have experience across the employee lifecycle to inform people program design

It’s A Plus If You Also Got These

  • Experience at a high-growth technical startup
  • Experience in an environment with multiple regulations (OFCCP, ITAR, US and international labor law, etc)
  • Experience building a hybrid (office & remote) workplace
