At Bread, you will join our senior leadership team and work closely with the COO to develop HR and People-first strategies. You will lead the charge on our efforts to create an inclusive and innovative work culture, with the overarching goal of creating both short and long-term business strategies that attract, retain, and grow the best talent for our organization. You will contribute both tactically and strategically to support the CEO, COO and members of the management team in building out a full employee experience, including a physical environment that scales accordingly with our growth. You will also be expected to be an effective HR resource that can support a fast-paced, high-growth company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop company-wide strategies to maximize employee satisfaction
  • Create a robust learning and development strategy that encourages professional growth for employees at all levels
  • Develop and maintain programs for sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, long-term organizational planning, and individual contributor and manager/executive training
  • Create a comprehensive compensation strategy, and manage our existing retention and reward strategies
  • Proactively address workplace and personnel issues - including resolving difficult interpersonal and employees retention issues
  • Lead and own all ongoing programming (Bread University) in related to professional development and career growth for all employees
  • Understand our company goals and align our people practices with our business objectives
  • Oversee our distributed facilities and office staff, and ensure that our physical office space scales with the needs and growth of our company
  • Act as the strategic advisor to company leadership for all things people-related as well as a generalist who is seen as the point of contact within the company for all things people-related
  • We want people who are ready and excited to be an army of 1 - building and growing the people and places team here at Bread - so you should not only be skilled at designing large-scale strategic initiatives, but also at getting your hands dirty and getting things done

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience in facilities management, especially in a distributed multi-office environment
  • Exposure to all aspects of running physical operations - including full office build-outs, maintenance, etc

Requirements:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in people ops (with proven experience of a data-driven outlook) coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit. 2 years of managerial experience is a plus
  • Strong project management skills - organized, detail oriented, execution focused
  • High social and emotional intelligence - you truly enjoy mentoring team members and cultivating strong relationships with all types of people
  • Excellent knowledge of culture and HR best practices and industry standards
  • Extremely skilled communicator - experience in change management scenarios, bonus if in a fast-paced technology environment
  • Flexible leader - you can operate at a highly strategic level, but can also perform all tactical HR - related duties for the company
