ABOUT THE TEAM AND ROLE 

As theSkimm’s Head of Recruiting, you'll create and execute staffing strategies while managing a small team of emerging leaders. You'll partner with the VP of People to develop best in class practices to attract and retain diverse talent.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 

  • Lead and develop a small team of talented recruiters through coaching, mentorship and thoughtful day-to-day management
  • Build out and execute a comprehensive hiring strategy and be the point of contact for the senior leadership team
  • Enhance recruiting processes to decrease time to hire while ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Responsible for full cycle recruiting in addition to managing agency relationships
  • Build and implement cross functional key initiatives 
  • Leverage recruiting data to establish success metrics and provide recommendations to the leadership team
  • Create a seamless experience for hiring managers and candidates

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

  • You have at least 6-8 years of experience in a recruiting function (including 2+ years management and 2+ years in-house)
  • Track record scaling recruiting functions and managing teams
  • You’re proactive and self-directed anticipating needs and requests from the business
  • Ability to build effective recruiting metrics and influence stakeholders 
  • Ability to identify trends and leverage knowledge, data and competitive intelligence to develop creative, customized sourcing strategies
  • Ability to uncover efficiencies and diagnose issues within the recruiting process and offer solutions
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent organization skills
  • You demonstrate and communicate theSkimm's values and mission in a way that inspires others
  • Experience with Google Suite of products and Greenhouse or other ATS
