As our Head of Recruitment, Europe, you’ll partner with regional leadership to set our recruiting vision and strategy, and roll up your sleeves to make it happen. You'll empower, coach and mentor the team of TA Leaders to help them develop a robust and diverse network of candidates, and hire and retain the cream of the crop. A Visionary, Strategic and Change Leader

  • An inspirational, engaging, process-driven talent acquisition leader with proven experience in developing and leading a group of diverse and talented TA managers in a high-growth, scale-up technical environment
  • Thrives by communicating and leading change and through building scalable strategy
  • Collaborates with business leaders and recruitment managers to create a recruiting vision and strategy that supports the near- and long-term business needs across Europe
  • Articulates clear outcomes, a roadmap, and success measures to achieve the vision
  • Leads change. Influences, collaborates and communicates to keep everyone informed, jointly accountable, and moving toward the vision

A Collaborative Business Partner

  • Adept at auditing and assessing pain points (and opportunities) within the greater org structure - to dedicate bandwidth, effort and energy across the European team
  • Be a key partner of our regional leadership teams, which includes general managers, and heads of sales/ demand, professional services, people, operations, and marketing.
  • Collaborates with key leaders to deliver long-term business priorities beyond day-to-day hiring needs, e.g. building new capabilities and speciality skill sets, expanding diversity, taking and mitigating calculated hiring risks, etc.
  • Champions and protects our culture when the going gets tough - recruiting is the gatekeeper!
  • Identifies and pursues opportunities for delivering extraordinary results in challenging markets by leveraging local context. 

A Team Builder

  • Experienced in leading exceptional, remote recruiting teams of 20+ people. Understands the difference between leading and managing. Take a hands-on approach to capability development within your team
  • Develops the team. Be a coach, mentor and servant leader. Develop the next generation of recruiting leaders, coupling clear guidance and focus on results to a high degree of room for autonomy and creativity
  • Fosters a creative, collaborative, inclusive working environment that’s all about experimenting and continuously improving
  • Facilitates, innovates, and continuously improves collaboration across a highly distributed team in four locations initially (Germany, UK, Romania and Finland) - with other countries to follow soon
  • Empowers the team as guardians of our culture and experts in “what good looks like”, helping them articulate the risks and benefits of candidates, and make good hiring decisions

A Brand Ambassador

  • Creates and cultivates our Europe-wide Employer Brand, so that it showcases our unique culture and employee value proposition. 
  • Works with marketers to develop and execute compelling differentiated campaigns (both digital and offline) that attract future ThoughtWorkers and deliver our near- and long-term business objectives
  • Takes extraordinary steps to attract and hire future ThoughtWorkers from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrates a passion for creating an inclusive workplace.
  • Leads the development and execution of our regional sourcing strategies to build and nurture a​ pipeline of potential candidates

A Candidate Experience Champion

  • Creates swift, thoughtful and tailored experiences for our candidates, regardless of the hiring decision. Makes sure they meet the right ThoughtWorkers and are looked after, informed and delighted at every stage of the process
  • Helps ThoughtWorkers continuously develop their interviewing skills. Drives strategy and execution for regular interview training across the business
  • Delivers a best-in-class recruiting process based on our purpose and on our culture core values.

Regionally-dedicated, Globally-aware

  • Represents Europe in a global context. Collaborates with other recruiting leaders to innovate and share knowledge, and sets the direction for talent acquisition and retention at ThoughtWorks globally

Data-driven & Analytical

  • Will be a systems-thinker with excellent critical-judgement. Strong data-analysis skills; proven ability to use metrics and data to support critical thinking and continuous improvement across the function
  • Strong business acumen. Partners with business leaders to create a set of scalable and actionable hiring plans. Ensures targets are set, articulated and accountabilities clear. 
  • Comfortable with leveraging systems and tools to report on recruiting metrics, including but not limited to; tracking actual to plan, hiring capacity/ efficiency, diversity of pipeline, quality of hire, speed to hire, leverage mix and cost per hire.
