As a HR Business Partner, you will be a strategic thought partner and coach to a range of stakeholders across the entire organization, working to create psychologically safe, high-performing teams. You understand the importance of relationships and are adept at cultivating and maintaining positive relationships, especially with senior level employees. You will be a key resource for leaders, helping them understand what it takes to attract, retain and develop the best talent through coaching, mentoring, and educational opportunities. In other words, you will be instrumental in making Transfix a great place to work!

What you'll do:

  • Ground your work in a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and justice-oriented (DEIJ) lens and work to instill the same in the leaders and managers you support
  • Promote a culture that embodies Transfix’s values
  • Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to people managers and leaders to positively impact the motivation, development, and retention of talent by fostering an environment of psychologically safe, high performing teams
  • Coach managers to develop strong skills around hiring and building teams, managing performance, developing people, and fosters an environment of continuous feedback
  • Proactively assess team, manager, organizational development needs with business leaders. Make strategic recommendations, and assist, when needed, in implementing appropriate solutions
  • Utilize employee engagement survey and other data to identify trends and proposed solutions to help improve the overall employee experience; specific emphasis given to engagement, attrition and retention
  • Partner with Recruiting and people managers on hiring strategies to help our workforce better reflect the demographics of where we live and work
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees when navigating challenging personal or professional issues that impact their work experience

About you:

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive HR experience with at least 2 years of business partner / talent management experience at an established mid- to large-size organization
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, high level of empathy, and a strong sense of good judgement 
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: change management, performance management, learning and development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, organizational design, strategic planning
  • Resourceful and adaptable. You're proactive in finding solutions and take pride in delivering strong results to employees
  • Growth mindset. You are constantly seeking out new information and ways to educate yourself
  • Navigates all conversations with a high degree of empathy and contextual awareness
  • Demonstrates analytical and technical skills to collect and analyze data
  • Strong presentation skills in small or large group settings
  • Proven success in driving employee experience and culture initiatives
  • High integrity and will maintain strict confidentiality regarding compensation and employee relations issues

Location

Transfix's NYC HQ is steps from the Oculus and Fulton Center, with access to subway train lines. We are close to tons of restaurants, shops. We are on the top floor so have wonderful light and breathtaking views, including a spectacular view of One World Trade from our outdoor rooftop deck!
