Our HR Generalist position based in our New York office is a six month contractor role with the potential to move to a permanent position after this initial fixed period. In this role, you are vital in enabling our success as we continue to scale and grow. You will be an integral part of our People team, working within our US HR team and directly supporting upwards of 175+ US employees on day-to-day employment, compensation and benefit-related matters. As a key administrator of our processes from onboarding through offboarding, you will be able to ensure our employees have a seamless service experience throughout their journey at Trustpilot!
In your role, you will:
- Provide first-level support for employees on matters related to their employment, including but not limited to healthcare benefit coverage, 401(k) account, payroll disputes, employment verifications
- Administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leaves of absence; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Work closely with internal partners (Legal, Risk, Payroll, etc.) to troubleshoot issues related to US employees
- Support with coordination of sending out onboarding swag for US new hires
- Assist in creating and sending out offer letters to new hires
- Educate newly hired employees on HR policies and internal procedures
- Fulfill onboarding duties on behalf of Trustpilot per government regulations, verifies and maintains I-9 documentation, ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
- Work directly with people leaders to maintain procedure execution for team growth, facilitating external recruitment and internal mobility processes
- Manage off-boarding procedures for those exiting the organization
- Assist in representing the company in unemployment claims
- Monitor for and communicate changes in government guidance as it relates to health and safety in US offices
We are looking for people with:
- 2+ years of experience in a human resources capacity
- Ability to manage key employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Knowledge of benefits administration in partnership with a PEO
- Ability to work autonomously and learn new skills and concepts rapidly
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent accuracy and attention to details
- Great team player with a strong service mindset
