Reporting to the Chief of Staff, and working closely with the executive team and all department heads, the HR Generalist will play a critical role in managing recruiting and HR processes and acting as a key partner to hiring managers and the People and Operations team. The ideal candidate is a true generalist and thrives in high growth environments building, scaling, and evolving people, culture, and HR programs and processes. In this role, you will roll up your sleeves with a “no task too small” mentality while also thinking strategically about the broader needs of people operations function.

You’ll be responsible for:

Finding and Recruiting Top Tier Talent

  • Schedule candidates quickly and efficiently, coordinate onsite interviews, act as the main point of contact and liaison to candidates virtually and in-person, assist with resume review and sourcing for certain roles as directed

  • Onboard and maintain applicant tracking system, gather and input new hire information into HR and other tools, and process new hire documents

  • Collaborate closely with recruiters and the rest of the executive team, as well as with hiring managers and interview teams to ensure all new hires and candidates have a seamless experience from interviewing to onboarding

Onboarding and Retention

  • Own the onboarding experience from end-to-end: creating seamless, scalable, and highly effective processes that ensure new employees feel welcomed, ramped, and integrated into the business and team.

  • Lead evaluation and implementation of HR platforms and systems. Today that includes owning our PEO relationship and all aspects of execution for it. In the future its evaluating, implementing and managing an HRIS and other technology solutions (e.g. performance management, employee engagement tools, etc.).

  • Provide timely and accurate information regarding Bodhala’s people processes, personnel policies, and procedures as needed

  • Develop, implement, enforce policies that are compliant, practical, and are aligned with the culture and environment we want to create for our employees and to support the business.

  • Partner with the executive team on assisting managers with communication and coaching with respect to performance management, team development and employee relations.

Goals

First 30 Days

  • Get to know the business need through informational interviews with members across the organization

  • Understand the 2020 scaling goals

  • Set individual KPIs for the next 6 months

  • Familiarize yourself with current team and gaps in talent

First 60 Days

  • Document and implement all hiring processes including, but not limited to, onboarding a new applicant tracking system

First 90 Days

  • Create and build out full personal policies and benefit structure for the team and implement effective communication around them

  • Implement culture initiatives that supports team in their day-to-day work

Qualifications

  • 3 – 5+ years of work experience in various areas of HR and project management

  • Ability to lead, manage, and delegate multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities

  • Unyielding discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information

  • Strong project management skills with acute attention to detail

  • Highly skilled at creating and implementing scalable process that creates efficiency and effectiveness across the HR function and broader business/team

  • Must be metric and process-driven while also flexible

  • The confidence to collaborate and challenge leadership and executives for the right reasons

  • Comfortable in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and always evolving startup environment

  • Technical recruiting a plus
