About the Role

As an HR Manager at Teampay, you will lead a variety of human resource projects and provide in-depth people operations strategy support. You will help the company optimize everyday processes such as payroll, compliance, and employee development. In partnership with the Head of People, you’ll devise creative solutions for problems the organization faces and establish foundational workflows across the organization at scale.

Your desire to engage and coach employees, guide management’s development and strategy, and shape a culture dedicated to the success of everyone at Teampay will positively impact current employees and new hires joining the team. We expect to evolve and shift with your thoughtful guidance and people-centric approach to Human Resources. 

What you will do

  • Be a partner to all employees by providing a full spectrum of HR support that includes compensation, benefits, performance management, training and development, and employee relations to name a few;
  • Maintain and recommend policies and programs as needed or required. This includes but is not limited to Company Handbook, LOA, Compliance, EEO reporting
  • Serve as a partner to the Head of People by staying up to date on best practices, making recommendations and solutions to improve the employee experience

Common candidate qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in an HR role
  • Ability to maintain a strict code of confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to build collaborative relationships with department leads
  • Proven track record of developing, managing and updating HR programs, policies, and processes, which include but not limited to employee attraction, engagement, and retention strategies
  • Highly collaborative and proactive team player
  • Proven knowledge of NY and CA employment laws
