HR Paralegal

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join Talkspace! This role will work to support most of the daily functions for our G&A Team, reporting directly into our General Counsel. We are looking for someone who wants to bring their talents into a “for purpose” space - to work at Talkspace, you need to be as passionate as we are about our work, and excited to partner with us to achieve our mission of bringing quality mental healthcare to all.
What You'll Do
- Assist and support the legal and human resources function.
- Conduct research into employment law and related concerns.
- Organizes, analyzes, and summarizes results of research gathered from various sources.
- Monitor changes to government guidelines or regulations and submit reports on pertinent changes.
- Conduct confidential investigation under oversight into human resource related concerns.
- Capture full and accurate case notes and supporting documentation in a timely manner; add confidential case data and supporting
documentation. - Conduct follow up calls and/or emails as needed with employees or other stakeholders.
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely responses to counsel and stakeholders.
- Oversee OIG/GSA exclusions monitoring.
- Serve as primary contact for ethics and compliance hotline reporting system.
- Assist in managing the records management program.
- Track agreement/contract execution and follow up with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Prepare standard agreements using templates.
- Manage confidential data and other privileged information.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Play a central role in the improvement of business processes.
- Take on additional tasks and projects assigned.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Legal Studies or Criminal Justice is required; additional Paralegal Certificate is a plus.
- Three to five years’ experience as a paralegal in a corporate legal or human resources department.
- Ability to establish trust (demonstrated by both adherence to high ethical standards and by competence with relevant tasks).
- Ability to uphold high standards of discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with members of other departments in the organization, as well as with members of the
legal department. - Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication.
