Position Summary: The Human Resources Systems/HRIS Supervisor will oversee and manage assigned employee-related technology and tools that automate HR programs and processes. This position provides efficient and accurate day-to-day support to a high-volume Human Resources department. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment and who collaborates effectively with all who use these systems daily.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) – Assist in the design, set-up and ongoing improvement of the HRMS. This includes systems related to HRIS, Payroll, Performance Management, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Compensation, Training and other areas of HR managed in various HRM Systems.
  • Review daily HR transactions according to current HR processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Process daily HR transactions in the Company’s Time & Attendance system, including maintenance of time off, shift patterns etc.
  • Ensure data integrity and accurate reporting of all People metrics, including conducting various monthly, quarterly and annual audits of the HRIS systems data.
  • Maintain and modify the HRM systems, configuration and end user access to ensure strong data security.
  • Identify and fulfill process improvements within HR and the corresponding systems, recognizing more effective ways to do things, building consensus, and executing the changes.
  • Serve as one of the primary contacts for the Payroll Department for all payroll issues and processes.
  • Create, maintain, and support the development of reports and dashboards for ongoing needs.
  • Assist in the management and updates to the HR Processes document to ensure clear guidelines for assigned users.
  • Create and maintain user and training guides for all end users.
  • Administer the integration and verification of the data between the HRM systems and all outside systems/vendors.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze technical issues.
  • Support other HR initiates as assigned in any areas outside of the HRM systems.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources Coordinator and serve as their back-up for all New Hire and Employee system changes.
  • Other such duties as required.


It is expected that the Human Resources Systems Supervisor will maintain and increase their knowledge of the Human Resources discipline as well as the business on an ongoing basis. 


Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate must have most if not all of the following skills and experiences:

  • A minimum of 5 + year’s professional business experience, including deep knowledge of HRIS / HRM Systems.
  • The ability to grow and develop knowledge and skills within the Human Resources function.
  • Individual must be technically savvy in order to work daily in the HRM systems. Experience with UltiPro is a plus.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively identify problems/opportunities, assess possible solutions, and deliver intended results.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels internally and externally, including outside vendors.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
  • Be extremely organized, demonstrate initiative, work independently, good with detail, and an ability to complete multiple simultaneous assignments in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate the tact, diplomacy, decisiveness, and superior people skills required in the pressurized environment of live television.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required, including nights and weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and/or kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Possess the manual dexterity needed to effectively create required work product.
  • Possess the visual acuity needed to effectively create required work product.
  • Possess the auditory acuity needed to effectively create required work product.


Education: Bachelor’s degree is required
