Job Description
The Technology and Engineering HR team at NBCUniversal is looking for results-driven and collaborative HR Coordinator. This role joins a high-performing team of experienced HR professionals striving to exceed employee expectations and deliver an engaging, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
In this role, you will be the key HR partner for several functions. You will help drive HR projects that span: onboarding, rewards and recognition, performance feedback, talent attraction and development, and HR's business impact. In the day to day, you will partner in the areas of: people insights and analytics; organization design & integration, staffing, compensation planning, workforce planning and recruitment.
The HR Coordinator is the central nervous system of our HR team supporting our diverse group of employees. The ideal candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, have strong analytical problem-solving capabilities, and demonstrate confidence in meeting tight deadlines while managing multiple projects. Attention to detail is a must. This role requires time spent learning the fundamentals of HR at NBCU which heavily focus on data, reporting, client support and service, and ad hoc projects that support the greater HR practice. In this role you will learn how those fundamentals shape and inform business decisions. You will also have exposure to HR projects that span: onboarding, rewards and recognition, performance management, talent development, and HR's business impact.
Responsibilities:

  • Be the data analyst and owner able to generate meaningful metrics and tell a story with data as needed, for a complex organization of over 1000 people
  • Respond to routine questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, and policies
  • Serve as subject matter expert for all HR systems and transactions to keep our business running
  • Keep HR team in compliance, up to date and ready for any task or project
  • Help and support fellow HR coordinators and team members as needed
  • First point of contact for all new employees - creating a seamless and positive experience from getting the legal stuff done to feeling settled
  • Willingly and competently step into a project driver role as needed for HR team projects both local and company-wide
  • Bring your creativity to execute programs that communicate to and engage our employees throughout their work-life
  • Must be personable, have a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, take initiative, and be a curious learner


Qualifications
Basic Requirements:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (or ability to learn quickly) - reporting, pivot tables, charts, etc.
  • Strong communication that is clear, correct, and timely.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Labor Relations or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a professional work setting.
  • Must be able to work out of Englewood Cliffs, NJ office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with additional days required as needed (hybrid).

  • Systems savvy - You're proficient with MS Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook and intuitively navigate HR systems
  • Analytical - You've never met a data point you didn't like. You enjoy telling stories and drawing insights through numbers
  • Communicates with ease - You have a way with words; written and verbal
  • Agile - Extremely flexible and able to shift priorities as needed and manage several work streams at a time
  • Labor Relations - If you've worked with Unions, it's a plus
  • Resourceful - If you don't have the answer, you figure it out. You're comfortable navigating a complex environment to obtain info and seek buy-in


Additional Requirements:
