The Role:

We are looking for a Junior People Operations (HR) Business Partner to work as a strategic partner with key departments in DailyPay. We’re seeking experience supporting diverse technical and non-technical client groups, coupled with solid knowledge of employee relations, performance management and HR compliance and practices. DailyPay is a hyper scaling organization, so you should be comfortable acting as a consultant as the organization changes, and have strong collaboration abilities. Partnering with our Talent and DEI organization, you’ll assist with leading client group efforts to embed diversity, equity and inclusion within all people related practices. This role sits within DailyPay’s People Operations group, within the Business Partner and Coordinator vertical and will be located in our New York City office.

This is an in office position and will be required to work out of our New York City office. There will be options for hybrid working arrangements.  More info regarding hybrid and return to office will be discussed on phone screens.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Work with the senior People colleagues across various People Team initiatives
  • Manage HR and employee relations issues with people managers throughout the organization at the junior to mid-level
  • Assist and be the first point of contact with employee inquiries that range across topics such as HR policies, benefits, leave of absences, onboarding, employment verifications, relocations, etc.
  • Assist with annual performance and compensation review cycles
  • Conduct new hire surveys and exit interviews, ensuring a smooth onboarding and offboarding for employees and analyze quarterly exit trends related to attrition
  • Act as a valuable culture champion.
  • Act as the liaison between the People Ops, Total Rewards, and Talent areas of DailyPay’s People organization to deliver outstanding strategic business partner support to Revenue and other teams as assigned.  
  • Work with the People Team on ad hoc projects, identifying metrics, areas of opportunity and recommending/implementing solutions
  • Work as part of a team to build a workplace which reflects DailyPay's values, mission, and vision, including partnership with the Employee Experience and Culture Manager, Talent, Legal, and Total Rewards teams
  • Establish proactive and positive relationships with assigned client groups

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in a related field)
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible HR experience
  • High capacity for managing multiple projects simultaneously, influencing and gaining credibility with all levels of employees and management
  • Strong communication, analytical, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrable track record in HR, ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced environment and adapt style and approach in an agile way
  • Experience with employee relations and performance management
  • Substantive professional experience working as a Business Partner
  • Comfortable working with data to make strategic decisions
  • Very organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly; outstanding follow up and EQ
  • High degree of discretion and confidentiality absolutely required

  • Occasional need to work outside of normal business hours as required to support customers and internal partners may be required
  • Ability to travel to other office locations as we grow our organization

Bonus Points for:
