The Role:

AlphaSights is looking for an ambitious and thoughtful individual to join the Professional Development team (aka Learning & Development team). Professional Development at AlphaSights provides opportunities for our employees to continuously grow their skills and, ultimately, to achieve their personal and professional goals. We are committed to supporting the learning and development of AlphaSights' most valuable resource: its people. You will work with the Manager of Professional Development to create, develop, and drive forward the digital talent management strategy for the firm, consisting of scaling digital learning, gamifying development, and making data-driven decisions. A successful candidate will be excited about doing whatever it takes to support and enable coworkers to unlock their full potential. You will be involved in everything from onboarding to senior leader development.

The mission of the Professional Development Team:

  • Cultivating our workforce's commercial, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strengthening AlphaSights' commercial effectiveness by increasing employees’ abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Become an internal expert and role model on digital learning design and delivery for the global firm
  • Champion our Learning Management System (LMS) platform and help the team and wider functions innovate the way AlphaSights deploys learning throughout the organization (e.g., through online, classroom-based, or blended learning)
  • Lead a global team of individual contributors to grow and scale our talent processes and offerings
    • Train local and global digital learning team members
    • Manage expectations, motivate, and demonstrate what excellence looks like
  • Develop AlphaSights’ approach to scaling digital learning:
    • Set transformative organizational goals for milestones and digital learning uptake; attempt to transform the organization’s approach to learning as much as possible within the next 1-2 years
    • Collaborate with the professional development leadership team and gather stakeholder input to build the roadmap for digital learning priorities
    • Scale our centralized global training curriculum through digital learning 
  • Incorporate gamification into the learning and development experience, from training programs to career development
  • Measure outcomes
    • Support the development of quarterly leadership reports
    • Use analytics to drive learning outcomes and initiatives, following a systematized approach to training evaluation (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model)
    • Constantly improve and innovate learning outcomes and behavioral change by soliciting feedback from participants, measuring impact, researching industry best practices, and endeavoring to make trainings as interactive and engaging as possible
  • Learner engagement
    • Conduct quality assurance reviews of content to ensure the learner experience stays positive and we do not experience organizational burnout; study why other organizations have failed and succeeded in digital learning adoption
    • Link digital learning to on-the-job experiences and transferable skills
    • Emphasize “just in time” learning for common challenges our workforce faces
    • Develop engaging content for both our commercial (CST) and support (Specialist) functions
  • Getting AlphaSights’ talent message out to the workforce via digital learning
    • Disseminate key organizational and leadership messages through LMS
    • Push company leadership (managers and VPs) to memorize key concepts through digital learning and testing
  • Align with the human resources and recruiting teams to present a seamless talent narrative for candidates and employees

What We Look For:

  • 3+ years of experience in Learning & Development, ideally with an e-learning focus
  • Attained bachelor's degree
  • Fluency in English required
