At Namely, we're hiring a Manager of Benefit Operations to ensure that our benefit operations function efficiently and achieve the goal of enabling every employee to use every benefit every time.

As the Benefit Operations Manager, you should be well-versed in common benefit plan structures, benefit administration operations, carrier enrollment operations, and insurance industry terminology. Using this knowledge, you'll regularly communicate with key partners in the process and ensure everything in the operation runs smoothly. In prior work, you should have demonstrated skill & achievement in the benefits administration industry, and should be able to speak to the ability to effectively lead a team in delivering benefit administration services to clients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and communicate cross-functionally with Namely Client Success, Professional Services, Engineering, and Product teams to drive complex client solutions to completion
• Complete ownership and project management of the EDI (electronic data interchange) feed development process, beginning with the initial feed request and continuing through ultimate go-live, for all Namely clients building EDI connections with benefit vendors
• Act as point of escalation for client concerns, speaking with them on an as-needed basis to help drive resolution on matters related to EDI management
• Manage operational relationships with insurance carriers & benefit vendors, and serve as first point of contact to discuss operational & EDI matters with these business partners.
• Manage and mentor team of individuals tasked with enrollment operations responsibilities
• Act as mentor & leader to junior team members
• Maintain weekly benefits administration performance metric reports & present periodically to Namely's senior leadership team
• Provide and share insight into industry best practices, and use these practices to improve internal process related to benefits administration delivery
• Partner closely with the Namely Product team to ensure our benefits administration platform is in line with industry standards
• Partner with benefits sales & marketing teams to ensure that internal benefits capabilities and enhancements are communicated accurately & timely to clients and prospects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5-7 years of experience in the benefits administration industry
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience mentoring others
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple deliverables at a time
• Understanding of Electronic Data transmission methods

Nice to Have

• Experience in managing a team of direct reports
• Experience in using Google Drive, Salesforce.com, Atlassian JIRA project management system, and Atlassian Confluence tool
• Insurance producer’s license
