About this role:

As the Manager of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion you will contribute to the vision and lead the development and execution of DV’s DEI strategy across North America, with influence across the Global business. You will have 1 direct report and work in a matrixed environment to effect change. 

You should have experience leading corporate DEI programs, with a track record of impact and experience. You must be able to influence, constructively guide others, and collaborate with people of all levels throughout a broad organization. You should have experience building impactful strategies, measuring success, communicating a strategic vision and identifying key areas of the business and structure for improvement with an emphasis on tracking progress.

In this role you will:

  • Build upon and lead our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy, with a specific lens on people experience
  • Lead the internal racial equity task force and its key contributors, including strategic pillars around people experience, business drivers, and social impact
  • Refine diversity metrics and reporting strategy. Key metrics of success include parity in representation, recruitment, retention, promotion, and engagement primarily across people of different ethnic backgrounds and gender, with a lens across all intersectional elements of identity
  • Build and foster sustainable company-wide diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and programs. Potential to lead internal safe space dialogue and training and/or work with external partners in this arena
  • Manage DEI budget for programmatic / organization-wide initiatives, including events, training, consulting engagements, and donations
  • Actively engage with employees and create effective feedback loops around our DEI efforts. Guide and support employee resource groups to ensure dialog across the company
  • Work with cross-department leaders to ensure that DEI best practices are applied across the organization. Identify any implicit or explicit structural barriers to DEI and success for people of diverse backgrounds, and develop strategies to create an equitable work experience
  • Partner with BCG DEI team to align Digital Ventures DEI strategies
  • Partner with Recruiting, People Development, and HRBP Team to identify processes and policies to attract and retain diverse talent. Construct recommendations for modifying existing approaches or co-create new ones
  • Work with the Recruiting team to develop talent pipelines and optimize our hiring processes to deliver on representation goals.
  • Collaborate with the People Development team on talent assessment, performance management, training & development programs as well as ensuring growth opportunities are equally available to all
  • Partner with DV Talent Panel to ensure equitable promotion decisions
  • Collaborate with the Talent team on retention strategies for diverse talent
  • Partner with key external organizations to steer Digital Ventures as a leading employer for people of diverse backgrounds
  • Partner with the Marketing team to provide thought leadership and influence in the DEI space for DV and our ventures

You should have:

  • 8+ years of work experience with at least 2 years of experience in driving diversity, equity and inclusion at an organization 
  • Experience in Human Resources, including talent, people development and/or coaching preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex and multiple stakeholder relationships and influence senior leaders 
  • Proven experience in effectively managing change, including a grasp on effective change management frameworks and tools 
  • Proven ability to drive projects and initiatives to completion in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledgeable with applicable federal/state laws, policies and procedures (e.g. Equal Employment Opportunity, Americans with Disabilities Act, diversity data processing best practices, etc.)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including travel up to 20% of the time
