Manager, Internal Communications
Away’s Corporate Communications team is seeking an internal communications pro to drive strategy and execution for our employee-focused communications function, an effort that will continue to align company culture with long-term business objectives.
This position will report to the Director of Corporate Communications and work closely with the Organizational Development team and senior leadership to design and execute a thoughtful and high-impact internal communications strategy that will inform, empower, and connect our growing team. In this role, you’ll define internal communications best practices to help us drive employee engagement and, ultimately, success!
REQUIREMENTS
What you’ll do:
- Unify internal communications by developing and implementing standard communications forums, structures, and processes that guide regular communication between senior leadership, managers, and employees in various channels (email, Slack, team meetings) and on various topics (results and action items related to employee surveys, highlights on progress toward company-wide goals, updates on new policies).
- Think of new ways to excite, engage, and inform employees.
- Build the tools and resources our teams need to scale internal communications across the company.
- Manage complex, fast-moving communications challenges as a member of the Corporate Communications team.
Who you are:
- You have 5+ years experience in an internal communications role, or working closely with organizational development or change management teams.
- You’re an excellent writer and overall communicator.
- You’re a people person. You pride yourself on being able to build relationships and earn trust across all levels of an organization.
- You’re a self-starter who’s able to work autonomously and collaboratively. You’re energized by the idea of building something from scratch.
- You care about results. You’re able to measure success and report on what’s working and what’s not so we can iterate and improve on a regular basis.
