About the Role: 

We seek an entrepreneurial, strategic, and personable Manager of our Technical Recruiting pod to drive the tech (i.e., Engineering, Product, IT, and Data Science) talent acquisition capabilities as we scale Cityblock. #Engineering #TechnicalRecruitment

You’ll join Cityblock at a critical point in our growth trajectory: over the next 12 months, we expect to hire 400+ team members across the company; with a focus on technical hiring in upwards of 40+

In this role, you’ll own some direct-sourcing & full-lifecycle talent acquisition through to the job-offer stage,  primarily focused on the senior level role (ie: Directors, Staff’s), while managing a small team.

You will lead a team of two or three to start; a mix of Recruiters and Sourcing; all of whom will be working alongside you to support our growth. You’ll motivate, lead, inspire, and coach your team while offering them the opportunities for continued professional development, and do so as a servant leader. 

You’ll serve as primary contact with our internal stakeholders and build a talent strategy to acquire top talent. You’ll lead your team to deliver thoughtfully built and engaged talent pools for our hiring needs.

You’ll work with our People team to continue our inclusive, consistent framework for our hiring, and may implement new processes and technology to streamline multi-site sourcing, engagement, and hiring efforts. You’ll establish a referral network, and build a clinical & operations recruiting voice for Cityblock. At times, you may be asked to compose job descriptions. 

Requirements for the Role: 

  • 7+ years in full-cycle recruiting, specifically for the Technology function; Engineering, Data Science, Product, IT
  • A minimum of 3 consecutive years of leadership experience, leading a team of 3 or more
  • Shown increased responsibilities and leadership skills throughout career tenure
  • Come with a Technical network within these domains: Full Stack Engineering, Product (Design, Management & Operations), Data Science
  • Experience in direct-sourcing of this talent using multiple mechanisms (ie: Linkedin Recruiter, sourcing boards, boolean search, direct networking, alumni associations, and innovative means to access talent).
  • Proficiency in using ATS systems, ideally Greenhouse, or Lever, iCims, Taleo
  • Ensures data integrity for reporting out metrics and KPI’s to TECH leadership, and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with key stakeholders and executive leadership across functions
  • Proven experience in managing up to leadership, across the team, and organization; established as a business partner
  • You are an adaptable, organized, efficient, independent self-starter and problem-solver, a leader, a strategic thinker, and a mentor who is excited about the big picture of community health
  • An excellent communicator who can see the big picture, communicate concerns, see around corners, and inform team members appropriately

How We Define Success:

  • Devise a talent strategy for Cityblock TECH org, that aligns with our overarching business needs and reaches top, diverse talent across our Technical functions
  • Successfully lead and develop your direct report team members
  • Work across multiple teams as a trusted and valued business partner, leading acquisition conversations (ie: with People Partners, Total Rewards, StakeHolders, Executive Admin teams)
  • You can successfully navigate an agile environment, with the ability to manage change and significant growth of a company
  • You are an effective communicator; you are clear, concise, and have a point of view 
  • You understand the Technical market data, trends, and projections for change that impact hiring talent and achieving hiring goals
  • You identify and engage a minimum of 10 qualified leadership candidates at top of the funnel, for the Leadership roles in which you manage directly
  • You are influencing your team by hiring an average of 4 Engineers (IC) roles per month, per recruiter.
  • Your teams’ job-offer acceptance rate on average is at minimum 85% each quarter.
  • Your pass-through rate in the recruiting funnel from the initial Assessment stage to On-Site Interview stage averages a minimum of 40%.
  • You build and manage a strategy to build a hiring pipeline for Technical openings, both IC and Leadership roles.

Nice to Have, But Not Required:

  • Experience working at a venture-backed or commercial startup or an entrepreneurial environment within a larger company that had at least 2X growth, year on year for 2+years. 
  • Experience in direct-sourcing and hiring Technologists in Health Tech, Community Health, or in general, the healthcare sector.
