What you will be doing
As a People Business Partner, you'll be an advocate of Eden’s culture and values, partnering with our business leaders to help them grow their organizations and ensure that people decisions are grounded in analysis and data. Whether coaching our internal partners on how to lead their teams, navigating and resolving employee relations issues, or designing and launching programs that help develop our Eden team members, you’ll focus on putting our employee team first, and being as clear and transparent as possible to help our organization better understand how people-decisions get made.
You'll partner with the Chief People Officer and People Operations team to craft and drive the complete people strategy that will support Eden team members in doing great work and you will collaborate internally on a broad variety of people-related areas.
This is a full-time, remote-first position that can be located anywhere in the U.S. The People Business Partner will report to the Chief People Officer.
What success looks like
- Building relationships with senior leaders across Eden to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
- Partnering with the Chief People Officer, Eden’s leaders and People Team leadership to create a comprehensive people plan to influence lasting change over large functions at Eden.
- Solving problems and getting to the root cause of issues. Designing and quickly implementing solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, even those beyond people and organizational solutions.
- Partnering with Business Leaders to proactively identify and address employee relations matters (e.g. general employee concerns, performance issues, behavioral issues, attendance, conflict resolution, etc.)
- Partnering with our General Counsel and legal team on most sensitive employee relations issues and staying current on multi-state legal knowledge related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Providing expertise in the following areas: career planning, performance management, coaching, general data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, recognition programs, and strategic development.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of HR experience, with 3+ years as an HR Business Partner with a focus on employee relations, talent management, and leadership coaching.
- In-depth legal knowledge related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance (no legal degree required, but the right candidate will have an initial sense of legal requirements and know when to escalate an issue to the legal team)
- Excellent judgment in navigating sensitive employee relations issues
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build solid relationships based on trust
- Demonstrated project management and change management experience.
