People Operations Coordinator

People Operations Coordinator
We are looking for a human first, detail oriented, and curious People Operations Coordinator to help support the Alma Team. You will support the People team’s efforts around onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, culture building, and People systems management.
As an early hire on the People team at Alma, you will be pivotal in helping to create an inclusive culture and support processes that make Alma the best workplace in the world for talented, mission-driven humans.
What you’ll do:
- Support various aspects of our employee lifecycle programs for hourly, salaried, full and part-time employees and/or contractors
- Execute key features of the onboarding and offboarding process
- Assist in keeping People systems updated and reflective of any team and/or employee job changes
- Assist with ad-hoc People & Culture projects and roll-out of initiatives
- Work cross-functionally with multiple internal departments to help execute ongoing projects and complete administrative tasks
- Ideate and execute culture building initiatives and activities alongside the People Team in support of a more inclusive environment
Who you are:
- You have 1+ years of experience as a HR coordinator/assistant or relevant people & culture administrative position
- You have proven experience utilizing a PEO and/or HRIS system
- You have a ‘human first’ mentality and can build rapport and trust with teammates, internal stakeholders, managers, and employees
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You lead from an inclusive lens prioritizing diversity, equity, and belonging
- You maintain the highest standard of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
- You pay attention to the details and have outstanding organizational skills
- You have a sincere enthusiasm for the employee experience and are drawn to culture-building activities
- You are excited to get broad exposure to various People functions, and to contribute to the ongoing improvement and evolution of our systems
