Job Description
Hyperscience is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our People team. The People Operations Coordinator will be responsible for executing aspects of the People Team function at the tactical level. This role requires a high level of flexibility and attention to detail. This role will report to our People Operations Manager in NYC, and will offer the opportunity to work closely with all sides of the organization and participate in other People Team functions and related projects as needed. 
The People team enables Hyperscience to thrive by empowering our people to become their best. The team is split into four verticals: Employee Experience, People Operations, Recruiting, and Talent Development. 

Responsibilities

  • Support all core People processes, including but not limited to: onboarding, payroll, internal transfers, performance management, leaves of absence, offboarding, and more
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all Hyperscience employees
  • Ensure all People data is accurate in order to build dashboards and reports that our leaders can rely on
  • Coordinate events to support our culture and build community among Hyperscience team members
  • Support Hyperscience’s learning and development initiatives through vendor management, scheduling, and feedback collection
  • Respond to inquiries from the Hyperscience team and build out our employee-facing documentation
  • Support the reopening of our office (when possible) and maintain our office environment by keeping track of supplies, coordinating with key vendors, and executing other day-to-day tasks

Qualifications

  • Comfort juggling different tasks and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and without errors
  • Ability to quickly digest a new process, execute against it, and identify opportunities to make improvements
  • Strong sense of ownership over your work
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and practice good judgment when faced with sensitive situations
  • Care in ensuring all Hyperscience employees are set up for success from day one
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills
  • 1 - 2 years of prior experience working in People Operations and the desire to continue learning, growing, and contributing to the function

What are some social events your company does?

Outside of company-sponsored lunch daily, we do birthday & anniversary celebrations, dessert breaks, and company outings. It’s pretty common to get together for drinks after work or go to karaoke as a team. When our team from Sofia visits, we like to do something social outside the office, whether it’s lunchtime basketball game or rooftop drinks.
