Flex enables its users to pay their rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances, rather than paying the full amount on the first of each month. The Flex People & Talent team strives to deliver an exceptional employee experience. This includes making sure our processes and systems support our growing needs. As part of the team, the People Operations Manager is an integral part of our success by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee data and HR systems and serving as a key point of contact for employee operational questions and/or concerns.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions received through
  • People team channels regarding benefits, payroll, policies, and other People Ops-related topics
  • Ensure timely administrative execution of new hire onboarding and terminations including paperwork collection and storage, I-9 completion, and HR systems updates 
  • Own all aspects of maintaining employee data throughout the full employee life cycle (including employee changes, organizational updates and audits) and build out systems and processes to ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate on research and development for people programs and policies to ensure compliance and incorporate employee feedback
  • Support benefits and perks administration, employment verifications, workers’ compensation and leave of absence paperwork, and visa processing
  • Brainstorming employee initiatives leveraging data directly from our employees
  • Support and promote our company values, principles and ongoing DEIB initiativesPerform other related duties as assigned

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of broad HR experience
  • Excellent communication skills - must be able to manage up and be comfortable presenting to a group virtually and in-person
  • Attention to detail with confidentiality top of mind
  • High EQ
  • You are a creative thinker and problem solver and can work through issues that require on-the-fly prioritization
  • You have excellent judgement and discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Experience working on small teams or in startups
