The Role:

The People Partner will support the talent management of our Go-to-Market (GTM) teams. You will serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner on team planning, performance management, career development, leadership coaching, organizational design, employee relations, and compensation to support a scalable and progressive people organization in a fast-growing education technology company. You will support our mission-driven talent base and continue to integrate diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) into all talent management philosophy and practices. Reporting to the Senior People Partner, you’ll leverage your understanding of our GTM operations and business challenges to serve as a point of contact for GTM leaders and employees in solving talent challenges, providing generalist support, and consultative services. Through regular check-ins, attending team meetings, survey feedback, and 90-day and exit interviews, you’ll maintain a “pulse” on team culture and engagement, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Additionally, you will play an active support role in the planning and changes around team structure and staffing, hiring plans and process, change management, organizational design, promotions, and compensation for your assigned teams. You will advise the business and teams within labor laws and compliance requirements (FLSA, Independent Contractors, etc) and will escalate and respond to internal complaints as needed.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with senior level business leaders in order to provide consultative guidance with measurable and demonstrable impact. Your work will directly support scaling a progressive People organization in a fast-growing, mission-driven technology company that values diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Your work will directly enable our teams to continue building a high-engagement culture and environment, and will contribute to the growth and development of our People team as well as the teams with whom we interface.  You will have the opportunity to support individual contributors, coach leaders of all levels, and partner with senior leaders to achieve business initiatives. You will work autonomously and asynchronously, yet have the support of the team at large. You’ll also be empowered to think big and bring fresh ideas to the organization in order to help us drive high impact. In doing so, you will ultimately help enable our company to deliver engaging, culturally responsive learning content to K-12 students and teachers nationwide.

Why We’ll Love You:

You have 2+ years of Human Resources Generalist and/or Human Resources Business Partner experience (including experience with recruiting and change management). Experience supporting go-to-market teams is highly preferred. You’ve had exposure to coaching, thought partnership, talent management, org design, career pathing, performance management, and ideally have begun to build your own experience in these areas. You’re a proven problem-solver who is able to identify trends or issues within a team and orchestrate and/or implement solutions that leverage people/talent/process to address the core factors influencing the team and business goals. You’ve also managed complex employee relations matters to closure and turned learnings into actionable practice/process changes impacting the business. You have extensive knowledge of labor laws (final pay), compliance requirements, FLSA/job classification, and how these influence decisions around roles and organizational decisions (CA/NY State experience preferred). You’re familiar with navigating ATS, HRIS, and project management systems (e.g. Google Workspace, UltiPro, Slack, Greenhouse, and Monday.com, or similar). You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, embracing change, and shifting priorities pragmatically.
