WHAT YOU’LL DO
As part of the Braze People team, our People Operations team is charged with delivering an amazing employee experience and ensuring our People & Talent systems, tools and processes support our growing people and business needs. The People Team Coordinator is an integral part of Braze’s growth and success by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee data and HR systems and serving as a key point of contact for employee operational questions and/or concerns.
This role will report to the Manager, People Operations and sit within the People Operations function, but also work closely with the Talent Acquisition, People Relations and Learning & Development functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the People Team Coordinator, you will:
- Enter new hire data in Workday, our new HR Information System (HRIS), and BambooHR, our outgoing HRIS, and update and maintain employee records for all employment transactions (including: compensation adjustments, promotions, internal transfers, organizational changes, etc.) in both systems
- Create all new positions and job profiles in the systems as required
- Contact employees to enter missing information in the systems as needed
- Audit the data to identify inconsistencies between the systems and the source data
- Support audit requests with the Finance and Information Technology (IT) teams as needed
- Complete Form I-9 and other work authorization documents for US employees
- Assist with employment verifications and help confirm employee job details for current and former employees
- Support the employee engagement survey process by creating the employee data file and working with the People Business Partners to ensure its accuracy
- Help with employee enquiries and/or direct them to the right teams and resources based on their payroll, benefits, etc. needs
- Assist with cross-functional People team administrative tasks where needed, including assisting with scheduling, filing and document requests, and jumping in on general admin-related tasks
- Work with the Legal team on internal people team contracts
- Run new hire and employee background checks

- Professional maturity and discretion when dealing with sensitive data
- Robust multitasking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with all different types of personalities
- Previous experience working on a People or HR team (a plus)
- Prior experience working with an HRIS, such as Workday (a plus)
