We are seeking a highly strategic talent operations generalist who can support our portfolio companies with HR, Recruiting and People Operations advisory. This role will be working closely with our team of investors and operators to directly support entrepreneurs with all of their pressing talent needs. In addition to supporting overall team operations, you’ll focus on three key areas:

(1) Provide support to founders of portfolio companies via embedded engagements 

  • Work directly with founders to plan and deploy myriad talent initiatives
  • Manage time-sensitive inbound talent requests

(2) Increase candidate network, advisor network, and help fill high-priority portfolio roles 

  • Identify VP/C-level leaders/advisors and add to our network
  • Build and maintain relationships with portfolio teams 

(3) Create and execute Talent resources and programs 

  • Create portfolio-wide talent resources (case studies, playbooks and workshops)
  • Plan and build new, large-scale talent initiatives that will help accelerate our portfolio’s growth

 

What you’re like

  • Empathetic – Understands a founder’s vision and strives to help solve their Talent challenges in a collaborative, iterative way
  • Scrappy – Quickly toggles from concept to execution - comfortable discussing high-level business goals and then designing, building, and evolving the needed tactics. Can prioritize and manage many disparate relationships and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong opinions, loosely held – Ability to think both analytically and creatively to solve problems. Understands the value of lessons learned from having been there/done that, and also develops an independent POV on how Talent should evolve. 
  • Adaptable - Strong ambassador for our organization and able to adapt to many different work styles.
  • 5-7+ years of experience – Combination of structured training and startup experience preferred. Can be a generalist, must also have dedicated Talent expertise and interests.
