Post Closing is a dynamic, multi-functional team that plays an essential role in the Mortgage process. As part of our back-office support, we perform several key functions to facilitate the purchase of loan files, after closing, to our Investor partners on the Secondary market.
We strive to ensure all loan documentation is complete and in compliance with State, Federal and Agency guidelines.

The Trainer is responsible for design, development and delivery of education and training for Post Closing operations at Better. This role will learn the various functions and expertise across the different Post Closing teams to develop learning content and facilitate quality training to ensure our associates have the knowledge and resources to grow/develop successfully.
What you’ll do as a Trainer:
- Build training content for classroom, webinar and eLearning programs covering operations from processing through post closing
- Conduct training classes in person and via Zoom
- Ensure team member needs are met before, during and after training
- Research, understand and articulate agency and department guidelines, policies and procedures
- Work with Org leadership to create training modules for procedural changes, new product updates and/or regulatory process updates
- Work with subject matter experts in Post Closing to validate accuracy of content on an ongoing basis
- Act as the main source of support for new hires throughout onboarding and training
- Evaluate the progress of the new members to the team and report findings to leadership.
- Support partners who have questions or needs related to training and training content
- Manage and update Post Closing Policy & Procedures manual
What the ideal candidate looks like:
- 3+ years of mortgage experience (post closing is a plus)
- You have a history of being highly adaptable to change and the ability to accomplish various tasks simultaneously (Must love constant change!)
- A self started with a passion for helping others grow and achieve goals
- Strong Communication both verbally and written with the confidence to deliver complex information in digestible ways
- Values teamwork but can work independently to achieve goals
- You have experience in a trainer/teacher role and are considered a professional in your field
- Ability to manage time and balance multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
- Can deliver high quality results with minimal guidance and supervision
