The Business Recruiting team is responsible for hiring the world class group of professionals across our Provider, Research, and Corporate teams that make Flatiron's goals achievable. At Flatiron, Recruiting is a partner that is vital to the success of our mission, and therefore we take a company-wide team approach to meet our robust hiring and growth targets.

As a Principal Business Recruiter, you will partner with hiring managers to understand and anticipate their teams’ upcoming needs and priorities and how they fit into the organization as a whole. You will manage the entire recruiting process from role development to sourcing and closing, and ensure a high quality experience for all candidates. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge to the team to help inform recruiting best practices, senior candidate / stakeholder management, as well as help provide mentorship to our team.

This role reports to the Director of Business Recruiting.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve short term and long term hiring goals for business teams with whom you partner
  • Collaborate with a diverse range of hiring managers and senior stakeholders to tailor the recruitment process for unique and highly ambiguous roles - creating job descriptions, defining role competencies, and determining interview processes
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting process, focusing on candidate advocacy and partnership
  • Independently drive recruiting process improvements and documentation for hiring managers and teams, which includes communicating effectively with the interview team to ensure preparedness during the interview process, as well as sharing and exchanging information with all levels of management
  • Pro-actively strategize, develop and successfully execute on building talent pipelines through direct sourcing strategies that are measurable, focused on continuous improvement and results oriented
  • Negotiate complex offers to close senior and executive candidates by leveraging your experience with competing for top talent
  • Act as additional resource on the team to provide coaching and mentorship to other team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At minimum 7+ years of recruiting experience experience, including experience on an in house recruiting team
    • Open to all of the following areas of focus: healthcare systems, research and/or academia, corporate functions (Business Development, Legal, Marketing, People, Operations, etc)
  • Must have demonstrated experience working with senior stakeholders / hiring managers (VP, C-suite, etc)
  • Experience managing a full life cycle recruitment process, specifically with closing senior and/or executive level candidates and negotiating complex compensation packages
  • Experience effectively managing a high volume of candidates, across a variety of unique roles at any given time
  • Spike in organizational skills, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships
  • Nose for value, ability to effectively prioritize and think at the strategic level
  • Ability to think on your feet and change or adapt to any ambiguous situation
  • Passionate about healthcare and the fight against cancer
