About the Role: 

Our Recruiting Coordinator is the backbone of our hiring team - you will be integral in supporting our recruiters and team leaders to make excellent hires. In this role, you will own the interview process, coordinating each step and working hand in hand with the team to ensure we are being thoughtful, detailed, and authentic in our hiring practices. From employer branding, sourcing, candidate evaluation and interviewing, to logistics and planning - you’ll build a strong foundation to build your career in a people function!

This role is based in NYC. We are hiring in all states except CO.

A Day in the Life: 

• Support all aspects of the recruiting process, working directly with recruiters, candidates and hiring managers, coordinating complicated, multi-step interviews 
• Configure and maintain our ATS (Greenhouse) and guarantee data integrity for every candidate we have an interaction with
• Assist with technical solution implementation (i.e. coordination or sourcing tools)
• Support events and projects that impact the greater recruiting team
• Multi-task, problem-solve, and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to build and improve on existing processes

What Happens Next?

We expect to take a few weeks to review all applications. If we would like to spend more time with you, you will hear from us to arrange next steps. You can expect 3-4 sets of conversations, all remote, with your future colleagues in the weeks following your application.

Throughout the interview process, we’ll look to learn more about your skills, experiences, capabilities, and motivators. Many of our interview questions will be behavioral, aimed at understanding how you might operate here at Betterment. We may ask you to complete a case study exercise or technical assessments, depending on the role, as we aim to collect a robust set of data points throughout the interview process.

On average, it takes us around 4-6 weeks to complete the interview process. As a best practice, we aim to interview at least 3 final round candidates before making a hiring decision. 

Please note that we’re unable to offer individual feedback during the interview process. We usually see 1,000+ applications for open positions, and our hiring team simply doesn’t have the bandwidth to offer personalized feedback to each candidate.
