Since most financial institutions rely on traditional credit scoring to assess risk, that means these people can't access affordable financial products. Instead, they resort to high-interest credit cards, payday loans, and trigger overdraft fees to make ends meet — which ultimately push them into deeper cycles of debt. 

Pinwheel provides an API platform that makes it easy to connect payroll accounts like ADP and Gusto to any app. By unlocking the wealth of identity, income, and employment data that sits in these systems, alongside direct access to paychecks, we can help innovators build the next generation of financial products that increase access for the underserved while improving the businesses of our partner fintechs, banks, and lenders. 

Who are we looking for?

Pinwheel is looking for a creative, analytical Recruiting Ops Specialist who is eager to join a high-paced environment. You’ll learn quickly and make an immediate impact. As the driver of all of our Recruiting processes and projects, you’ll be responsible for delivering excellent Talent operational support to our quickly growing organization. We appreciate all perspectives and encourage folks with non-Recruiting/ Coordination to apply. If you're organized, a systems thinker, efficient, and creative, this is the role for you.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide exceptional support to all Pinwheelies, including the Recruiting team, hiring teams, and new hires
  • Schedule all interviews for hiring teams while ensuring we keep consistent momentum for the candidate
  • Manage an exceptional candidate experience throughout the entire interview and onboarding process
  • Manage coordination and execution of all aspects of employee onboarding, including scheduling first-day activities, new hire training, collecting and processing new hire paperwork
  • Maintain an appropriate level of process, program and policy knowledge to help our employees perform at their best

What experience, skills, and qualifications are necessary?

  • An organized people person with a genuine passion for our mission
  • Strong communicator with an innate desire to support and help others
  • Mind geared toward logistics. You can crank out scheduling requests. You put your feet in the shoes of both the candidates and the hiring team to think of everything.
  • Have excellent organizational skills and are detail-oriented
  • You come from a strong educational background and have excelled in school
  • Experience in Recruiting, and/or People Operations required; experience with Greenhouse, Gem, and GSuite preferred
