Paxos' mission is to modernize finance by mobilizing assets at the speed of the internet. Paxos is building a future where all assets-- from money to gold to securities--will be digitized and move instantaneously, 24/7. Settlement risk will cease to exist, so trillions of dollars of trapped capital can go to work in a global, frictionless economy.

Today, as the first regulated Trust company with blockchain expertise, Paxos is uniquely positioned to mobilize and custody these assets digitally.

The Recruiting Rotational Program at Paxos is designed to provide aspiring HR professionals exposure to all facets of recruiting. Each rotation offers the opportunity to think strategically and work closely with a team of dynamic recruiters, recruiting coordinators, and Talent professionals. We are at an exciting growth stage as a well-funded, Post Series B tech company. Paxos is at the cusp of reaching a product-market fit for a complex product that will disrupt financial services using Blockchain technology. The impact of this role will be directly felt by the next generation of leaders and talent that will build and grow this transformative product.

We hold ourselves to a very high hiring bar. To achieve this, we think of roles first and foremost as outcomes to be achieved, not simply a description of tasks and responsibilities. We have developed what we call a ‘Success Profile’ for this role, which has two sections:

  • Outcomes: Meaningful and measurable work products that have a significant impact on the team and business over a defined timeframe.
  • How to Achieve Outcomes: We have a strong point of view on how this role will succeed in achieving outcomes at Paxos. So, we have taken the Operating System of Paxos – our values – and made it relevant to this role.

Outcomes

  • Develop expertise in full-cycle recruitment, recruiting coordination, sourcing, and onboarding. Success is measured by the mastery of each role.
  • Ensure all key stakeholders and candidates have a positive experience throughout the entirety of the interview process. Success is measured by positive feedback from candidates and hiring managers.
  • Work with recruiting team to execute and run recruiting mechanisms (from initial candidate outreach to making an offer) that is efficient and replicable at scale. Success is measured by institutionalizing standard, but flexible mechanisms that strikes the right balance between time to hire, quality of hire and hiring manager/candidate experience.

How to achieve the Outcomes
Functional acumen required:

  • Strong communication skills, ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messages accordingly
  • Ability to handle and manage large volumes of varied tasks/data and react positively in a fast-paced environment

Search for the Truth:

  • Seek to educate yourself on the business or organizational context behind any coordinating you do. You use the additional vetting to meaningfully make your work more impactful.
  • Use scalable processes to manage the hiring pipeline. You know when it makes sense to make meaningful exceptions to processes to optimize for the hiring manager or candidate experience. Proactively vocalize to enhance current processes.

Shared commitment to excellence:

  • Proactively post job openings to internal and external job boards and close openings once hiring process is complete. Ensure job descriptions communicate company mission and strongly reflect role responsibilities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the pending hire by documenting and managing the post-offer, pre-hire process to ensure all necessary actions are taken prior to the new hire start date.

Be an owner:

  • Update recruiting activities in real-time on the recruitment applicant tracking system, and solicit feedback from hiring managers post-interviews.

Real time candor:

  • Show the right balance of backbone and humility in pushing back on stakeholders (hiring manager, recruiters) that earns their respect for your subject matter expertise.
  • Strong track record of building trust with recruiters and coordinators because you tell them inconvenient truths that they need to hear in order to be successful. This candor is based on data from the efficient hiring processes that you and your team have built.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience providing full lifecycle recruitment support for a team of recruiters, including scheduling candidate interviews, and utilizing and updating the applicant tracking system.
