OUR TEAM

The Talent and Organization team is a small but a strong force behind Kinship’s innovation and ambition to build a connected platform of digital-first businesses for the new generation of pet parents. The talent team ensures & drives an inclusive culture that underpins all we do. We build incredible, high-performing teams with diverse talent, champion collaborative ways of working, introduce top HR systems to our organization, and develop our internal Associates to meet our goals. We’re excited about the people (and pets) who will join us this year. In order to help everyone pet parent like a pro, we are seeking a Recruitment specialist to be the heart and soul of our talent acquisition operation. As the Recruitment specialist your role will be a critical one as we move into a high growth period at Kinship. Not only will you work across our business with hiring managers and their interview teams, but you will partner with our broader Talent team to support our growth goals this year. The Recruitment specialist will work closely with Kinship’s Talent Acquisition partners to post jobs, set up slack channels for hiring teams, schedule kick-off recruitment meetings, set up candidate interviews for all open roles at Kinship, create offer letters, and keep the wheels turning during our recruitment process. You will also have the opportunity to source and take on more recruitment activities if you’re interested.

HOW YOU'LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO

  • Work with a team of two recruiters (and counting!) to do all recruitment operations and coordination work to ensure a successful candidate and internal hiring team experience.
  • Set up all jobs in our ATS, post roles on our careers job board, and other niche sites as needed.
  • Create all slack channels for hiring teams to communicate in, post job links, and resources for hiring teams to interview successfully with.
  • Set up all candidate interviews across Kinship, and work on ATS & Google calendar integration to fully automate interview scheduling.
  • Maintain a list of all job platforms, logins, agency contacts, etc.
  • Work closely with the Talent Ops team to ensure smooth transitions for contractors.
  • Answer questions from hiring teams and candidates, or escalate to lead recruiter.
  • Research other job platforms, recruitment technologies, and trends to further our inbound applicant pool, and that helps us hire faster.
  • Report on job statuses (ie number of open roles, filled, demographic data, etc.) to TA Director.
  • Fully optimize our relationship with LinkedIn and other recruitment platforms.
  • Create candidate employer brand packs and send link during interview process.
  • Create offer letters in conjunction with lead recruiter.
  • Source candidates for future workforce plans, and for key positions that lead recruiters need assistance with.
  • Support the creation of employer brand assets and campaigns alongside TA team as a whole.
  • Support and run the operations of the Kintern program and student program initiatives alongside business partners.
  • Championing our recruitment systems, Greenhouse, LinkedIn, Monday.vc, and other platforms, and help to train managers on the systems for optimal use.
  • Supporting our employer brand and reputation strategy through all Kinship social channels and on our website

  • Have 3+ years of experience as an assistant or specialist for an HR team. Start-up experience highly preferred.
  • Able to navigate HR & recruitment systems easily, and are self-motivated to find information on your own.
  • Interested in a career in talent acquisition, and see this as a great opportunity to learn and grow into a great recruiter.
  • Great at working with people at all levels within an organization.
  • Experience with Linkedin Recruiter, Greenhouse, Google docs, Docusign, and system integrations a plus.
  • Enjoy speaking with candidates and can provide a warm and inviting space that gets them excited about joining Kinship.
  • Can handle challenges with a positive attitude, and see ways to improve processes - and you present those ideas proactively

Our New York City office is conveniently located right off the 28th street 6 train station bustling with fantastic cafes, restaurants, and bars. A few blocks away is gorgeous Madison Square Park where you can pick up SweetGreen nearby and have lunch with a view.
