The Role:

AlphaSights is looking for an ambitious and thoughtful Senior Associate to join the Professional Development team (aka Learning & Development team). You will be part of a global team, and you will have an impact on all phases of the talent lifecycle. Professional Development at AlphaSights provides opportunities for our employees to continuously grow their skills and, ultimately, to achieve their personal and professional goals. We are committed to supporting the learning and development of AlphaSights' most valuable resource: its people. You will work with the Professional Development team to execute training and development programs for AlphaSights team members. A successful candidate will be excited about doing whatever it takes to support and enable coworkers to unlock their full potential. You will be involved in everything from onboarding to senior leader development.

The mission of the Professional Development Team:

  • Cultivating our workforce's commercial, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strengthening AlphaSights' commercial effectiveness by increasing employees’ abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as an internal talent consultant for AlphaSights’ US offices:
    • Develop effective working relationships with company stakeholders
    • Work with team leaders to build customized solutions for their team-level issues, and help teams to function at the highest developmental level
    • Personally deliver trainings, and train others to present engaging trainings
    • Serve our workforce of commercially-driven professionals in their unique learning and development needs
  • Help the team and wider functions innovate the way AlphaSights deploys Professional Development throughout the organization to support the high growth of the firm
    • Set transformative organizational goals for milestones
    • Attempt to scale the organization’s approach to Professional Development
    • Collaborate with the professional development leadership team and gather stakeholder input to build the roadmap for Professional Development priorities
  • Support all talent processes in the region, including:
    • Pre-hire communication and onboarding
    • Ongoing training and development
    • Promotions
    • 360 reviews
    • Talent reviews
    • Executive coaching
    • As well as other parts of the talent lifecycle
  • Champion our eLearning (LMS) platform and help the team and wider functions innovate the way AlphaSights deploys learning throughout the organization (e.g., through online, classroom-based, or blended learning). Emphasize learner engagement by:
    • Conducting quality assurance reviews of content to ensure the learner experience stays positive and we do not experience organizational burnout; studying why other organizations have failed and succeeded in digital learning adoption
    • Linking digital learning to on-the-job experiences and transferable skills
    • Emphasizing “just in time” learning for common challenges our workforce faces
    • Developing engaging content for both our commercial (CST) and support (Specialist) functions
  • Measure outcomes
    • Use analytics to drive learning outcomes and initiatives, following a systematized approach to training evaluation (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model)
    • Constantly improve and innovate learning outcomes and behavioral change by soliciting feedback from participants, measuring impact, researching industry best practices, and endeavoring to make trainings as interactive and engaging as possible
  • Be an internal expert and role model on talent management
  • Act as a role model for the global team in individual excellence and execution
  • Train local and global team members in Professional Development best practices
  • Collaborate closely with the global team to build new trainings and talent processes, and to improve existing content
  • Align with the human resources and recruiting teams to present a seamless talent narrative for candidates and employees
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times to build trust in the organization and the Professional Development function

What We Look For:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Learning & Development or a related talent field OR 4 years of experience in a commercial role with a desire to build a career in talent
  • Attained bachelor's degree.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Some travel required
