Your impact on our mission 

The Senior Manager of Payroll is a crucial role that is responsible for managing the payroll processing for our 500+ US based employees. You will be responsible for driving efficiency and process improvement between Payroll and our People Operations team;  performing audits and reconciliations of payroll data, and auditing and approving bi-weekly and monthly payrolls. You will be the primary escalation point for payroll related inquiries and will respond to frequent and urgent requests for information relating to payroll, tax processing and payroll policy matters.

Your day-to-day is…

  • Coaching, supporting, and developing talent within the team; managing team members’ growth and career trajectory by sharing opportunities for increased effectiveness and efficiency, and removing barriers to success
  • Driving process standardization, automation, and continuous process improvement to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintaining and updating ADP payroll systems and processes 
  • Reviewing and approving bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for accuracy
  • Managing the payroll schedule in ADP and corresponding with the necessary stakeholders within the company.
  • Quarterly reconciliation in preparation for a seamless year end.
  • Ensuring bonuses/commissions/variable pay earnings are accurate and on-time for the sales teams in line with current compensation plans
  • Investigating and driving resolution to payroll questions from Finance and People Operations teams
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and controls, SOX as well as compliance with external laws and regulatory guidance.
  • Working with Accounting to ensure equity tax calculations are reviewed and submitted timely 
  • Support Finance and People Operations for external audits, 5500, non-discrimination testing, workers comp. etc
  • Conducting internal audits for data integrity.
  • Strong benefit background for quarterly withholding reconciliation
  • State and local implementation set up for Payroll processing


You’ll be successful in this role if you have...

  • 10+ years of payroll experience
  • Experience with ADP payroll systems is a must
  • Excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills
  • Understanding of stock and equity disbursement and related tax implications
  • Extensive knowledge in Payroll & Accounting procedures and Payroll Tax Laws & Regulations
  • Ability to operate independently and have the strong desire to work as a member of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail and results orientation are required
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments within the organization
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and booking payroll GL
