The People Experience team has an exciting new role for a talented Senior Manager of People (HRBP). Reporting to the VP of People, you’ll partner with employees throughout Meetup and provide HR expertise, insight and guidance in order to support a healthy and inclusive environment where people can do their best work.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant, progressive Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree; Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or Business focus is preferred
- Proven success in three or more of the following disciplines (with strong interest in the others): employee relations; performance management; D, I & B (diversity, inclusion & belonging); employee engagement; HR compliance/labor law/regulations; learning and development; total rewards; and immigration
- Excellent judgment with the ability to make prudent, well-informed decisions and maintain confidentiality
- Business partner with subject matter expertise and solid experience to advise, coach and inform people managers and employees at Meetup
- Professional with high EQ, business acumen and strong interpersonal skills to establish early and lasting trust, credibility, and rapport throughout the organization
- Strong people developer with a management style that adapts to various personalities and learning methodologies
- Sharp, curious, creative, continuous learner with a growth mindset
- Solid project management, time management, and organization skills
- Strong active listening, written and verbal communications skills
- Able to enhance systems and processes in a high-performing, high-change environment
- Collaborative partner who’s hands-on and can confidently work with stakeholders at all levels
- Adaptable and autonomous, exhibiting flexibility and composure during times of ambiguity, with the ability to manage up, across and down
- Experience with Workday, Greenhouse, Slack, G-suite, Salesforce, and Confluence are a plus
- Solution-oriented, positive, proactive, and authentic with a great sense of humor :)

Success in this role includes:
- Being cognizant of the “pulse” of the environment to assess and proactively anticipate employee needs and opportunities
- Developing strong partnerships with People Partners, Recruiting team, WeWork, and the venture’s People team members
- Partnering in the development, execution and/or management of employee programs
- Managing and resolving employee relations issues successfully through mediation, coaching and/or investigations
- Maintaining knowledge of business goals and OKRs to assess the impact of People decisions on Meetup and employees
- Mastering and maintaining knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements/compliance and WeWork processes
- Being a Meetup culture ambassador and advocate
