ABOUT THE ROLE


The People and Culture team at Happy Money is expanding to support the company’s exciting growth and wider talent reach. We are seeking a Senior Manager, People Operations who lives our values of Love, Trust, and Hustle and is excited to build and lead our People Ops function with exceptional HR service to employees and managers. This role will manage a Payroll & Benefits Partner and People Systems Analyst and will need to maintain comprehensive multi-state knowledge of HR programs, plans, policies, and processes, as well as HR systems. 


This position is 100% remote (US only)



WHAT YOU'll DO


The People Operations team is responsible for analyzing and reporting on people metrics, processing payroll, answering general employee HR questions, resolving people-related issues, executing on HR policies, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The focus is on optimizing, globalizing and taking on new employee services higher up the HR services value chain. 

Program Management

  • Stand up our People Operations Strategy with an eye for scale and own additional aspects of People operations
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer, Talent Partners and People Partners to understand where we can operationalize our programs and process to identify opportunities across people, process, technology, with care for the P&C strategy.

Culture And Employee Experience

  • Oversee our employee onboarding and offboarding processes for all local and remote employees and manage our People Operations programs, including, company-wide quarterly engagement surveys
  • Oversee continuous improvement for the New Hire Onboarding process to cultivate an exceptional new hire experience.

People Analytics and Compliance

  • Oversee multi-state HR Compliance and ensure we are compliant with all employment related laws (federal, state, and local).
  • Manage compliance and government reporting
  • Provide regular and ad hoc People data analysis and reports.
  • Use people metrics to improve key insights and decisions around D&I, employee surveys, and retention.
  • Uphold data confidentiality and consistency standards within the system and in communication with employees. Ensure all of People Ops processes and activities are in compliance and kept up-to-date in line with current legislation, including management and maintenance of people data.

People Management

  • Support employee development and continue to up level the team with learning and training opportunities

ABOUT YOU

  • 8+ years of People Operations experience, including 4+ years of experience leading a team
  • Comfortable dealing with Employee Relations issues; experience delivering HR in a Generalist and/or HRBP capacity is ideal
  • Strong project management skills and ability to navigate multiple time-sensitive tasks
  • Deep HR functional expertise; knowledgeable on employment law matters, employment legislation, and compliance management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Case Management and HRIS platforms (JIRA, UltiPro)
  • Ability to build effective work relationships at all levels of the organization, and partner cross-functionally to influence behavior change and collaboration.
  • Comfortable as a "hands-on" manager; willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done , ability to navigate in complexity while developing and managing People Ops policies and practices for a distributed workforce
  • Strong ability in problem-solving and building solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A team player that works collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • The ability to use data to help drive informed decision making
  • HR Certification is a plus
