Senior Manager, Total Rewards
We are seeking a results-oriented Senior Manager, Total Rewards to join our People Operations team. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director, Total Rewards and HR Operations, and be responsible for delivering total rewards for Flatiron, with an emphasis on maintaining internal equity and external market competitiveness. The Senior Manager, Total Rewards will work in close partnership with leadership, clients, and colleagues to ensure that all programs support the targeted growth and profitability of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Provide input into the development of a comprehensive, competitive compensation and benefits strategy in alignment with the company’s objectives, initiatives and budget guidelines.
- Administer the Stock Plan to ensure that all equity-based transactions are conducted efficiently and correctly, including stock grants & vesting, exercise of stock grants, and monitoring of stock activity.
- Oversee the annual benefits open enrollment process, including partnering and negotiating with external vendors, preparing communications for employees, and working with the broader People Ops team.
- Advise clients on external offers, retention concerns, and ad hoc compensation requests.
- Administer the semi-annual compensation review process.
- Partner with Legal to design, communicate, and implement employee facing policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 7-10 years experience in Compensation and Benefits
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of designing and administering equity based programs, including accounting, tax and legal implications
- Expertise in compensation and benefits design & negotiation
- Previous people and project management experience
- A team player and a “can do attitude”, with the ability to forge great relationships both within and outside the People Ops team
- Demonstrated experience presenting to senior leadership
- Practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balanced by an appreciation for complexity and risk
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in working through complex transactions, with the ability to analyze, problem solve, and communicate observations and recommendations
- Strong business acumen along with ability to quickly learn and understand the financials and operational levers of each department within Flatiron
- Both public and private company experience preferred
