You must love data. We’re looking for an insightful and creative People & Comp Data Analyst to join our team anywhere in the United States. In this role, you will leverage data to help drive strategy and answer critical questions about our people, compensation, and the effectiveness of our recruiting and employment brand efforts. You’ll research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the company is competitive in all areas of compensation, create and maintain critical reports, use data to provide essential insights, and review all current and proposed processes to ensure that everything we do is measurable and effective. Play a crucial part in the implementation and maintenance of our core HCM and advanced comp system.

This is an excellent role for an analytical and motivated Human Resources professional looking further to develop their career in a fast-paced, high-growth company. You are right for this role if you excel at juggling multiple priorities, are attentive to detail, and have strong communication and problem-solving skills. Advanced level Excel and, ideally, Google Sheets proficiency and strong analytical skills will be crucial to your success. You are a results-oriented individual who is motivated to tackle complex problems, has a "can do" attitude, and is comfortable asking questions. As we continue to grow, this individual will need to pick their path between Compensation and People Data in the next couple of years.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a dynamic group, ranging from the compensation manager, line managers to executives, focused on executing a rigorous compensation program designed to capture and reward true impact.
  • Triage, assign and manage compensation inquiries and requests.
  • Manage compensation information, including securing approval for compensation changes and payments, inputting approved changes and payments, maintaining systems of record, and providing information upon request.
  • Manage HCM and comp system optimization, business analytics, light reporting, data integrity, role-based security, back-end system functionality, and daily administrative system functions.
  • Complete our compensation benchmark surveys.
  • Prepare and file our compliance reports (e.g., EEO1, Vets 100).
  • Collaborate with our Compensation Manager to build ranges for the US, UK, and any other countries we may add.
  • Build and manage our fairness and equitable analysis of compensation of performance outputs.
  • Manage our compensation planning process tools, resources, and budgets.
  • Coordinate the compensation component of the employee offer, and transfer processes.
  • Perform basic analysis on compensation data sets to surface information critical for the business to make informed decisions.
  • Leverage data to shape our recruiting strategy and employment brand investments.
  • Build robust data models and analyses related to compensation, performance, people metrics, and other related projects.
  • Create forecast and capacity models to help set expectations with stakeholders and ensure our team is equipped to hit our aggressive hiring goals.
  • Further leverage the effectiveness of our team by measuring the ROI of our current tools and systems, and evaluating others in the future.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in math, computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with HCM and advanced compensation technologies.
  • 3+ years of compensation analysis experience.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of trust in an environment with sensitive data.
  • A strong desire to improve and streamline people processes for increased efficiency and scale.
  • Experience automating and/or significantly reducing manual hours required in a given process is a plus.
  • An ability to meet deadlines while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and finding creative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and trust across the organization.
  • Expert with Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience with Greenhouse, Workday, and Looker is a plus.
  • Experience using data to create narratives with visualizations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience creating reporting solutions (e.g., dashboards) for business users.
  • Experience prioritizing work and navigating ambiguity while collaborating on projects that may involve multiple teams.
  • Experience with management consulting or other roles directly supporting internal or external clients.
  • Experience identifying problems and using quantitative and qualitative analytical strategies to measure the effectiveness of programs, interventions, and efforts.
