Senior People Partner

The People Operations team at Bread is looking for its first HR hire! We are a mission-driven, innovative team looking for a Senior People Generalist who can bring that same trailblazing mindset to the HR side of the house. Our team and this role is well-balanced between tactical execution and strategic, big picture thinking. On any given day, we are designing and implementing scalable programs while coaching and consulting managers on day-to-day operations. We're involved in all key moments of an employee's life cycle which results in a wide breadth of responsibilities and opportunities.
Your role at Bread:
- Be a trusted advisor and thought leader to managers, and an advocate for employees
- Use both qualitative and quantitative data to create and implement creative talent solutions that address retention and development
- Own all people processes from new hire entry and onboarding to employee changes to departures and exit interviews
- Handle employee relations conversations with care and solve investigations with timely objective precision
- Manage Bread’s bi-annual performance and compensation reviews and talent calibration
- Advocate for employee growth by iterating on career progression programs and partnering on individual development and succession plans
- Foster an inclusive and diverse culture by counseling managers on empathy, unbiased, and belonging tactics
- Partner with the broader People Ops team to deliver on employee engagement initiatives
- Run our benefit enrollment process and strategize benefit enhancements and opportunities
- Participate in workforce planning processes to ensure we are effectively headcount planning in a high-growth environment
What we are looking for:
- 3 - 6 years of experience in a similar generalist and people partner role
- Excellent judgement and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to make data-backed decisions
- Effectively operates autonomously, and thrives in ambiguity.
- Proven success in creating people solutions and programs from the ground up
- Intellectually curious with a creative, solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to flex your communication and work style to build trust and communicate effectively
- Thoughtful discretion and hyper-sensitivity around confidential and sensitive information
