As a DEI Specialist, you will coordinate key DEI touchpoints: project coordination for committees, coordination of our ERG communities, coordination of DEI events and training, and connection with BCG DEI.
Who you are
You should have experience coordinating across diverse stakeholder groups, with a track record of impact and experience. You must be able to independently manage competing priorities, have excellent attention to detail, and partnership skills. You should bring a can-do and collaborative approach to partner with people of all levels throughout a broad organization.
In this role you will:

  • 50% Coordination for ERGs (Employee Resource Groups): Partner with ERG Leaders and Executive Assistants to manage ERG calendars, Slack channels, distribution lists, communication, meeting notes, and events. Coordinate onboarding for new ERG members
  • 20% Coordination of NAMR-wide DEI events: these include but are not limited to Annual Diversity Week; ERG events; diversity training
  • 10% Coordination of DEI Committee: manage biweekly meeting calendar invites, attendees, notes, Trello/Slack
  • 5% Internal Communication: Manage monthly DEI note from Center Leads about upcoming holidays and celebrations; inform weekly communications from Center Leads and NAMR Chairperson
  • 5% Partnership with BCG: Liaise with BCG DEI team to ensure awareness of key priorities and alignment/divergence as appropriate
  • 10% Other duties as assigned: including but not limited to partnership with other cohorts on diversity metrics, recruiting fairs, speaker engagements


You should have:

  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Acute awareness of how one's personal identities (e.g., race, gender) shape their professional and personal experiences
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
  • Project management skills, including managing calendars and timelines
  • Ability to operate independently and self-direct
  • Comfort working through ambiguity, understanding that there is not one right answer
  • Openness to pilot, test, occasionally fail, and iterate on initiatives and programming using metrics and feedback
  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics
  • Passion for diversity, equity and inclusion and ability to create safe and authentic spaces
  • Facility across a variety of digital platforms (Slack, Outlook, Trello, Google Suite, Confluence)


Additional desired competencies:

  • At least 2 years of experience in relevant role (i.e., DEI specialist; executive assistant; project/program manager)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and concurrent workstreams
  • Proven ability to drive projects and initiatives to completion in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including travel up to 10% of the time
