Talent Acquisition / Employee Experience Specialist

Solstice is seeking a Talent Acquisition/EX Specialist to support our New York team. Our NYC office is growing quickly and looking to bring on the office’s first on the ground EX team member that’s ready to work with the team in Chicago EX and operations teams and support our NYC Solsties!
What you’ll be doing to support Employee Experience:
- Leading onboarding for NYC employees including preparing welcome materials and running first-day onboarding
- Building strong employee relationships and assisting in employee relations matters
- Becoming familiar with benefits and policy information to answer and field employee questions
- Supporting our quarterly performance review processes
- Assisting with our internal training programs
What you’ll be doing on the Talent Acquisition side:
- Helping to quickly scale the New York office
- Utilizing recruiting tools and social media techniques to identify, source and ultimately hire the best possible candidate for each open position
- Pre-screen candidates over the phone, drive the interview process and follow-up with hiring managers for feedback
- Working within our Applicant Tracking System (Jazz) on a daily basis ensuring the most accurate information is available
- Cultivate strong candidate relationships for current and potential future roles
- We’re a hands-on team, willing to jump in wherever necessary - you may be helping out with other initiatives as needed and encouraged to bring new, creative ideas to the table
What we are looking for in you:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills required
- Strong relationship building with candidates and employees to facilitate the interview process, closing strategies, and presentation of offers
- Ability to manage a project from start to finish - you have a strong sense of determination and take pride in your work
- Even-keeled and can handle a full workload - you aren’t afraid of a new challenge and are up for learning new skills
- A people person and genuinely care about employee experiences and our Solstice culture
- Proven track record in recruiting to meet business needs and able to manage multiple job requisitions at one time.
- Flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment - priorities are constantly shifting and we stay agile to adjust and support our business needs
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of recruiting and HR experience, preferably IT, in an agency or corporate environment
