Muck Rack is looking for a proactive, independent and charismatic Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist (Technical Recruiting) to join our team and make a big impact. 

As our first dedicated Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist with a technical recruiting focus, your mission will be to attract, engage and close candidates for our Product, Engineering and Design teams. You will have the opportunity to drive both the strategy and execution for our technical recruiting efforts from employer branding to extending offers to candidates. In this role, you will be responsible for building the foundation for the technical recruiting function at Muck Rack.

What you'll do:

  • Scale Muck Rack’s Engineering, Product and Design teams while developing scalable technical recruiting strategies and processes
  • Proactively source technical talent, leveraging outbound campaigns, employer branding assets, and other creative tools and strategies to engage passive talent
  • Partner with hiring managers to define roles, interview processes, scorecard criteria and job descriptions
  • Provide a white glove experience to both candidates and hiring managers while ensuring that the interview process is seamless, inclusive and effective for all stakeholders
  • Assess candidates’ overall seniority, technical ability and competency in our tech stack specifically
  • Report on recruiting funnel metrics based on Greenhouse data

  • Consistently hitting or exceeding sourcing targets
  • Metrics including time to fill and time to hire
  • Hiring Managers and candidate feedback

If the details below describe you, you could be a great fit for this role:

  • 3+ years of full cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally in a start-up environment (in-house or agency) with exposure to SaaS
  • Tech savvy - you’re ATS proficient (Greenhouse strongly preferred) and comfortable with tools including Linkedin recruiter (boolean search) and sourcing on social media and niche platforms
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - you have the ability to adapt to different situations, styles and needs with both candidates and internal stakeholders; you can understand and clearly explain technical job requirements
  • Resilient - you’re eager to test new processes and ideas and willing to pivot when necessary
  • Excellent negotiation skills - you understand the individual motivators and internal levers necessary to close candidates
  • Sense of urgency - you work quickly and understand how to prioritize competing demands
  • Confidence and conviction - you are able to diplomatically influence stakeholders to take action and get candidates excited to work at Muck Rack
  • Inclusive - DEIB is inherent to your recruiting philosophy
  • Experience/interest in PR/Journalism is a bonus

Interview Overview

Below you'll find an outline of the interview plan for our Technical Recruiter role. Please note that this is what we expect the process to look like; we may ask you for supplemental information or require an additional step before making a final decision.

  • 30 min interview with a member of our Talent Team
  • A 1 hour zoom interview with the hiring manager 
  • Take-home assignment (2 hours max)
  • Final interview with several members of our team

Salary

The starting salary for this role is between $115,000 and $145,000+ USD + bonus and equity, depending on skills and experience. We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location. For all other countries, we have competitive pay bands based on market standards.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
