Technical Sourcer

| Greater NYC Area

Talent is the key to success. We have set ourselves an ambitious goal: scale a top-notch organization with top-notch people - fast. We’re looking for a Technical Sourcer to be responsible for growing the top of the candidate funnel for our Tech teams. Your main responsibility is finding the best talent, and turning passive candidates into active ones through strategic, engaging communications.

 You’ll work collaboratively with your recruiters, coordinators and hiring teams to translate the needs of the team into creative sourcing strategies. Serving as the first touchpoint and representing Oscar to our candidates, you must create an excellent candidate experience starting with the initial reach out. Once engaged, you will also be responsible for assessing the candidates, according to our needs.

Deliverables: What you have to achieve

  • Identify the best talent for technology roles, and any one-off roles that may arise.

    • E.g. Full stack engineers, data scientists, product managers, etc.

  • Serve as a key partner to your recruiters, coordinators and hiring teams.

    • Work with said teams to ensure that needs and positions are clearly defined.

    • Use your deep understanding of the industry to thoroughly screen candidates up front.

  • Create and utilize sourcing strategies in order to identify the best talent, through use of Boolean strings. search engine X-ray, social media, etc.

  • Identify and engage talent, offline as well (events, conferences, ERP, team sourcing blitzes, etc.)

  • Turn passive candidates into active ones.

    • Figure out what really sets Oscar apart-- what is the value proposition for prospects? Then determine the best way to showcase it.

  • Engage the talent, pre-screen and introduce them to our recruiters.

  • Track metrics and share pipeline reports with internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain a healthy flow of sourced candidates for multiple requisitions.

  • Build talent pools across industries, companies and profiles.

Winning factors: What leads to success

  • You have a bachelor’s degree.

  • You have spent 1+ years in recruiting or sourcing, in-house or at a search firm.

    • Tech and industry experience preferred.

  • You have a proven track record of impressive response rates and conversion rates.

  • You have a wide network-- and know where to find the best talent (both online and offline.)

  • You love the hunt.

  • You are highly organized, inquisitive and focused.

  • You’re able to understand our needs quickly, and take action.

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
