Reporting to the Head of Total Rewards and HRIS, the Total Rewards Lead - Payroll and HRIS will be responsible identifying and implementing best practices related to the management of all aspects of payroll and HRIS processes. This position will work closely with third party HRIS/payroll vendor to oversee all aspects of the payroll processing and HR systems, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.

We are looking for highly collaborative, execution-focused individual to join our HR team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs activities necessary to processing payrolls, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management.
  • Create and manage workflows, processes and audits to validate all HRIS/payroll data, and identify and correct any errors to ensure accurate payments and financial information.
  • Provide general support for HRIS related tasks and issues; Assign and maintain user security issues and security modifications
  • Launch and maintain HR/Payroll/Benefits workflow on-line forms
  • Fix incorrect HR records
  • Coordinate the system configurations for benefits enrollment process
  • Responsible for managing, troubleshooting and maintaining processes associated with interfaces to all third party systems, including but not limited to health and welfare plans and 401k.
  • Monitor, administer, and troubleshoot daily data integration feed from our external sources to HRIS
  • Maintain Time System(s) for all Rules and Regulations and monitor flow of timekeeping information to payroll.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, including collaboration with the business stakeholders, developing UAT criteria and test cases
  • Ensure appropriate and efficient communication to employees on matters related to payroll and HRIS functions.
  • Manage interactions with internal and external auditors and state and federal agencies as they relate to information associated with payroll.
  • In conjunction with the legal and finance departments, develop payroll and HRIS strategy, including planning and communications, ensuring compliance with all wage and hour laws, as well as with all federal, state and local taxing jurisdictions.
  • Assists in the maintenance of all compensation, benefit and related employee information in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), such as job profiles, job titles, salary ranges, differential pay, and changes due to qualifying life events.
  • Completes recurring and ad-hoc reporting requests in support of compensation and benefits.

About You:

  • You have cut your teeth in HR, People, and/or Talent in a fast-paced organization and you’re eager to grow your skill set.
  • You hold yourself to exceptionally high standards & maintain a big-picture view, but appreciate that the devil is in the details.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and detail-orientation
  • 4-6 years of HRIS and payroll application experience
  • Passion for people and HR. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Collaborative team player with a results-focused orientation.
  • Accuracy organizational time management skills - plan work activities, work to priorities, balance multiple priorities and pay attention to small details.
  • Auditing, reporting, and analytics, including high level of proficiency with data files
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong record of academic achievement
