Vice President of People Operations
Jackpocket is the first mobile lottery app in the U.S. that offers players a secure way to order official state lottery tickets, such as Powerball, Mega Millions, and more, via their smartphones. We're creating a more convenient, fun, and responsible way to play the lottery by modernizing the $300B global lottery market with a mobile platform that everyone, including grandma, can feel good about.
The VP of People Ops is responsible for developing and executing people strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. This position will provide strategic leadership by articulating needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders and the board of directors.
Responsibilities
- Develop people centric plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives and support the company's mission and strategic vision
- Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each department regarding key organizational and management issues
- Utilize data to build and scale leadership, talent plans, and formulate cross-organizational processes to facilitate aligned development plans
- Provide leadership around culture assessment and development, introducing and managing organizational change and development initiatives
- Work with the executive management team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company
- Develop predictive models, scenario planning, risk analysis and mitigation, integration with strategic planning
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits, and DEI initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years of HR experience, with at least five years of senior management HR experience
- Masters degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration or similar field
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP credentials preferred
- Experience with multi-state organizations is a must, global experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws, specifically NY and CA
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships

The annual base compensation range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000
