How you'll make an impact at Collibra:

As our first VP People, this leader will oversee the structure, success, health and effectiveness of our North American People Partner (HRBP) function, supporting our Executive Leadership Team and their organizations. The successful VP is a thoughtful, strategic executive who brings the experience of leading Business Partnering teams within high-growth, rapidly changing tech organizations, and does not hesitate to oscillate between strategy and spending time in the finer detail. This person's work will directly impact the effectiveness, growth, and fulfillment of both employees and managers, and will inspire through leadership reflective of our core values.

A day in the life of our VP, People at Collibra:

You’ll be reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, and will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Building strategic and collaborative people business partnerships with Sales, Customer Success and G&A executive leaders and their direct reports
  • Create workforce plans to identify and close talent gaps in competency, knowledge, and skills for the future
  • Partner and collaborate with Chief People Officer, People Operations and Talent Acquisition teams on people strategy development, integrated talent practices, effective budget and resource management and seamless people operations
  • Building and leading a team of people business partners and generalists who work hand in hand with all teams
  • Providing thought leadership and direction in every part of the employee lifecycle design, change management, and cutting-edge employee engagement practices
  • Ensure consistent and data-driven people management practices and adherence to company standards

You Have:

  • In depth knowledge and experience with human resources best practices (including talent management, compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, and performance management) typically gained through 15+ years of experience 
  • Cross-cultural awareness: demonstrated ability to communicate successfully with people from a variety of background and cultures
  • Experience in counseling, consulting and coaching leaders and executives to achieve results 
  • Successful experience facilitating change management initiatives 
  • Demonstrated experience as an influencer or change agent
  • Strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to translate business & organizational challenges into concrete HR requirements, building and successfully implementing an HR strategy
  • Experience managing and developing a high performing, white-glove HR team
