About The Job 

LeagueApps is looking to hire a well-rounded leader, a true “clean-up hitter”; a People pro, to build a high-performing team as the Vice President, People.

The Vice President, People will lead the LeagueApps People Team with emphasis on developing a People Strategy, leading the People Operations, and innovating in the areas of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management.

  • Serve as a member of the Leadership Team, and a strategic business partner to leaders and team members across the organization
  • Report directly to the CEO of LeagueApps, operating as a trusted advisor in translating business imperatives into high-performing teams

What You Will Do

  • Provide sound business partner advice and counsel to company leaders and the senior leadership team 
  • Manage and improve all aspects of talent acquisition: leveraging the employer brand, creative sourcing, hiring, and onboarding. Be our foremost talent ‘scout’ for a growing company
  • Recommend optimal team designs which maximize talent in the right roles at the right times
  • Partner on the establishment of cascading company goal process which drives performance management and rewards
  • Cultivate an environment where employees are engaged, and able to do their best work through the provision of efficient systems, simplified processes and learning & development opportunities
  • Build on the company culture, adapting programs to function in a distributed/blended work environment; organizing outcome-driven, bi-annual OTAs (Organized Team Activities) 
  • Drive and support organizational change initiatives - i.e. organization design, etc. 
  • Lead and manage all People Administration - i.e. benefits, compensation program design and implementation, compliance, etc.
  • Establish clear KPI’s linked to business objectives; track and communicate results
  • Build, develop and inspire the People Team

Your Skills and Experience

  • 12-15 years’ work experience with hands-on experience in a combination of People functions, most recently as a departmental Lead
  • Extreme savvy in balancing hands-on leadership with smart delegation
  • Hands-on experience shaping, managing and evolving a talent acquisition strategy
  • Thought leader in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion 
  • Strong communicator and builder of systems which share information, and facilitate decision-making 
  • Strong experience in establishing compensation systems and related career paths, ideally for technology/SAAS companies
  • Proven experience in digital adoption and implementation of a variety of tools to optimize operations and employee engagement 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of organizational design approaches
  • Resourceful and nimble in your approach to team leadership and project execution 
  • Experience in high growth organizations/startups
  • Excellent verbal/written/presentation and communication skills
  • Organized, with attention to detail
  • Comfort managing multiple, often competing, tasks

Location

We are located right off of Union Square across from the famous Irving Plaza. Currently, we are working fully remotely.
