Position Overview:

As a legal intern, you will have the unique opportunity to be fully integrated into the Rent the Runway business from the ground level. You will dive right into legal issues facing the problems we are all here to solve - and be part of timely initiatives that are incredibly relevant. Your voice will be heard and your impact will be felt. You will have a seat at the table, a voice in the meetings, and the chance to make a meaningful impact. You will be surrounded by passionate colleagues and visionary leaders who are committed to continuing to disrupt the way women get dressed. Providing legal support for departments across the company such as finance, marketing, analytics, planning, retail, product, you will gain practical lawyering skills while also gaining a truly holistic view of our business.

The internship will be paid and we expect interns to begin on June 6, 2018, for a minimum of 10 weeks.

 Responsibilities.

• Structure, draft and negotiate commercial agreements ranging from standard contracts to complex strategic partnerships critical to the company
• Advise different business units including finance, marketing, HR, fashion and product, on how the company can work within the law to launch innovative products and initiatives
• Research and provide advice with respect to various state and federal laws and regulations affecting the business
• Be challenged to find innovative solutions to unique business challenges and continuously evolving needs, constantly iterating and learning as you go

Qualifications:

• Current law student at a nationally-accredited law school
• Excellent academic standing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Self-motivated, creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized and scrappy
• Organized approach to prioritizing projects and ability to multitask
• Scrappy, roll up your sleeves approach to problem solving
