Group Nine Media is seeking an Accounting Intern to help support the Finance Department with month end close responsibilities and other various ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate must be currently obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and has taken core accounting classes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with gathering back-up support and preparing of Journal Entries.
• Assist with month end close journal entries.
• Update and maintain the monthly financial binders.
• Scan journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Assist in various ad hoc projects.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable.

Functional and Technical Skills:

• Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A self-starter with a strong desire to learn
• Strong organizational and time management skills
