We distribute insurance products to the largest e-commerce sites globally via a B2B platform. Our first product to market, RentalCover.com, has been an outstanding B2B and B2C success within the travel vertical. Following this success, we released XCover, a multi-line distribution platform for eCommerce partners.

Cover Genius are seeking a dynamic, driven Business Development Intern to enhance and amplify the global sales team and support revenue growth. The BD Intern will identify and qualify leads, monitor sales metrics, execute outreach and help manage the entire sales administration process. They will collaborate with the global and local sales teams, so it’s essential that they have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working on their own and also in a team environment across different time zones. They should have strong research skills and feel comfortable managing multiple priorities.

You’ll report to the EVP of the Americas and get the opportunity to work closely with other teams to support the execution of our go-to-market strategy across the Americas. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and make a significant contribution to helping Cover Genius achieve our revenue targets and position our brand globally.

The role presents significant opportunities for the right candidate, given Cover Genius’ global recognition, excellent track record and hockey stick growth. We are looking for self-starters that are passionate about new technology and innovation, that have a “can do” attitude and who work well within startup environments where needs and roles can change quickly. Needless to say, we are not your average insurance company!

Job Requirements

Mandatory

  • University degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of business development, inside sales or account management experience, preferably high growth technology in global markets
  • Proven track-record of executing on KPI and data-driven sales campaigns that deliver revenue growth
  • Experience creating new sales opportunities through identification of key business prospects and solution selling to new businesses
  • Grow market share by supporting account executives to expand and upgrade sales to existing customers
  • Experience managing sales processes from end to end
  • Capability to complete sales documentation and pitch materials to high level within timeframes
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems, with working knowledge of Pipedrive an advantage
  • Experience conducting ongoing market research to keep abreast of market trends and competitor actions and communicate findings to address and stay ahead of the curve
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in insurance products and/or B2B e-commerce marketing experience

Our office is located right next to the vibrant Bryant Park where employees can take a break and relax in the sun. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and good shopping in the neighborhood. We have easy access to public transportation and NY's Penn Station is within walking distance.
